Chapter 56: Two Sides of A Coin

*Erica's POV*

"Good morning, Your Majesty," came the cheerful voice of one of my maids, I dont know what kept them so happy.They will never be a hint of sadness in their voice,sometimes I felt like the world could end any moment and the irritating optimism will never dull out of their voices.

"I've brought your morning tea and some fresh linens."

I grunted in response, my mood getting more dark with the pleasantries. By 'tea' they meant my herbs and a hint of sugar.This made me dread waking up even more.

"Is there anything else I can do for you, your majesty?" another maid inquired, her voice tentative.

I shook my head, waving her away with a dismissive hand. "Leave me be."
