Chapter 11: Sōvēs
By the sun's position it seems like the time is 4PM now. After I walked for 20 minutes I came towards the entrance of the cave. I summoned my Dragon claim token and held on one hand. I could feel my heart beat escalating and even with my physique I am sweating. Knowing that I currently posses 60% favorability towards all beasts, I took a deep breath and made myself calm down. I looked into the dark cave and took my first step inside. I used scan few times to get the mental map of the place and avoid sharp edges of the rock protruding on the cave walls. I finally reached the destination. In the dark end of the spacious cave sat the dragon which I know nothing of.
*Shifting sounds*
*Growl*
I can hear the dragon was standing and growling as I was intruding his sleep. After Another growl the dragon breathed huge bronze color flames towards the ceiling of the cave. I from the light of the beautiful bronze flames, I saw a Huge dragon with glistening Bronze scales with teeth as big as longswords and head bigger than a large carriage. My heart beat accelerated and only one word came out of my mouth-
"Vermithor…"
I spoke in Valyrian to the dragon, # Tell me Vermithor, would you like to take the skies again and experience the thrill of having a partner? # It growled and I understood a bith because of the Beast master skill, I continued #I promise you that you will become the strongest dragon and I will never leave you alone. I will accompany you till the end of days. # It roared now Although I cannot see in the dark I can understand. After getting his approval I tore the ticket. I know that I don't need his permission and will be able to use my ticket to directly bind Vermithor, I preferred to first know his choice, If he refused and started to get rowdy then I will without question use the ticket directly.
After the ticket dissipated, Vermithor glowed in gold light and now I can see him clearly.
[Detected a dragon. Activating the claiming process…Successfully bonded. 100% trust & friendship established]
[Detected old wounds…..Healing in process…..Healing completed.]
I can see the injury marks and scars rapidly healing. Scales that were missing is grown back. Eyes that have become a bit cloudy are now shining like gold. Some tearns in the wing's membrane are repaired. Missing teeth have grown back.
[Improving characteristics of Dragon by 30%]
Vermithor roared as it seems like it was slowly growing and the roar was due to pain and thrill. It went on for a minute. The missing scales due to increase the size are rapidly growing. I can see thet the scales are now thicker and teeth looked stronger. Vermithor is now giving the youthful vibes like it is now a young dragon not a century old dragon. It is now looking more fierce.
[Claiming process completed. Magical link established between Lord and dragon. Mental link established.]
The golden light gradually dimmed down. Vermithor gave a loud roar which I understood @I feel lot of strength@
Vermithor gave another roar, this time its just a roar, and breathed out the bright bronze flames. Previously when he breathed out, the cave which was already strong enough to withstand the dragon flames due to dragonglass formation on the cave walls only heated up. But now the wall started burning red hot like volcano and started melting. I quickly asked him to stop as I Don't want the ceiling to collapse on me and immerse me in lava.
#Stop, Vermithor. Lets get out of the cave.# I said and started walking out. Like before I spammed {scan} spell to navigate me out of the cave. When I got out I quickly moved away from the cave entrance as I heard Vermithor rapidly approaching. Just as I thought, Vermithor started ring out of the cave and flew. He gave huge roar louder than It was in the cave. After making few circles he landed I front of me and growled @get on partner@
I smiled and looked at him I went forward towards his muzzle an felt the scales with my palms. He smelt like fire and ash. As I moved my hand through his neck I can feel the magic coursing through Vermithor's body. It was of pure fire type. Fierce, hot and lethal. I felt a little overwhelmed and happy. Few tears escaped my eyes and said to my new partner.

Vermithor just sent smoke out of his nostrils and I can feel that he is embarrassed from our mind link. And I know he can feel how I felt as well. I just smiled and climbed on Vermithor's back and sat on the saddle which was already there. And it seems to be of good quality.
'The saddle seems to be made for my great-grandfather.' I mused.
#Soves, Vermithor.# I shouted. Vermithor, now the size of Balerion the black dread himself, took few steps and flapped the wings. In a few seconds we gained lot of altitude. Flying over the coulds and watching below the dragonstone castle and the sea, is a surreal experience. Through the mental link I asked vermithor to run circles around the dragonstone below the clouds as I wanted to see the arial view of the famed ancestral seat of Targaryens.
The castle felt mystical and beautiful and the old valyrian architecture gives it a regal charm to it. I asked vermithor to lower the altitude a bit. I can see 3 dragons on the open grounds resting. Meleys, Caraxes and Syrax.
Vermithor gave a roar that made the 3 resting dragons to look up. Soon after few more rounds I heard a roar coming from Dragonmont towards us. A minute later I saw a beautiful dragon with silver scales shining due to the evening sun. I know the dragon was Silverwing. Vermothor slowed down the speed allowing the dragon to join the flight.
After reaching the same speed Silverwing gave a roar. I understood it due to the Beast master talent. It was more like @How are you so big?@
Vermithor responded with his own roar @I became strong after I bonded with my new partner@
Silverwing shifted her eyes at me and gave a low growl like a greeting. After couple more rounds we landed on dragonmont. I jumped down from the dragonback. This height is nothing to me due to my enhanced physique.
Silverwing came forward to me and sniffed at me. And growled. Even though I understand a bit due to the talent it is still not all powerful. But with help of Vermithor I know that silver wing want to join vermithor and didn't want to be left alone. I knew that Silverwing is partner of Vermithor. They often snuggled together from the old king's times.
I Know that it is not good to separate the couple hence I agreed.
# Alright silverwing. You can join Vermithor.#
I know from the books and mother's stories that silverwing is more on the gentle side and I am not losing anything here. I don't even have to feed the dragons as they are completely capable of hunting themselves in the sea.
# I know that you don't like to be held in dragon pit and chained. Also there are very few places that you can make a lair during your idle times. I have a magical space where you can go in and roam freely. Do you agree?#
Vermithor agreed immediately due to the trust he have now after the bond. Seeing that vermithor agreed, Silverwing also gave a low growl and agreed.
# I will stay here for couple more days. Lets fly again tomorrow. Bye Vermithor, Silverwing.# I said as I see that the sun was setting down.
