ELIJAH'S POV

I stiffened as Deborah leaned in, trying to peek over my shoulder at the photos. In one quick motion, I angled my body away, shielding the damning images from her view.

"This isn't good," I muttered under my breath, my jaw clenched tight as my mind raced. Damage control, fallout scenarios, contingency plans - they all flickered through my head in a frantic kaleidoscope of worst-case scenarios.

"What are you going to do?" Deborah's voice was laced with concern, her hand coming to rest on my arm.

I exhaled a slow breath, willing my thundering heart to steady. "I don't know yet," I admitted, the truth bitter on my tongue. "But I need to figure it out before things get worse."

Another scandal, another maelstrom of scrutiny and speculation - it was the last thing I needed, especially if it involved Imogen. I could already envision the media circus, the endless stream of probing questions and salacious headlines.
