It was because she only had one wing—a glaring flaw that marked her as defective.

Lithira couldn't help it. She had tried everything in her power, but some things were beyond her control. 

No matter how much effort she put in, it didn't change the fact that she was a "defect." 

And a defected dragon could never transform into their true form. It was a reality she had to live with—an embarrassing and pathetic truth. 

It crushed her spirit to know she would never become a "true" dragon.
