Chapter 264: Their Daily Life: Amane & Seren

"How is it, Mom? Is it good?" Seren asked, her eyes darting around her phone screen as she searched for the perfect wedding dress.

"Are you sure you want to get married? You just met him not even a month ago," Amane replied, her voice tinged with worry. 

She didn't even glance at the wedding dress Seren was showing her, too concerned with the suddenness of her daughter's decision.

"And why the hell do you have that kind of thing in your Nexus shop?" she continued, her frustration clear. 

"It's just unfair how the system works sometimes."

Her Nexus shop only provided her with things related to her path—spices, vegetables, meats, and other foodstuffs. 

Lucien and Cassius faced similar restrictions. But Seren's Nexus shop seemed to have everything she wanted, and it didn't make sense to her. 

"I don't think I need the opinion of someone who got pregnant before they even got married," Seren retorted, unfazed by her mother's protests.
