As their discussion wrapped up, Lucien decided to shift the topic.

"What do you all think of dark elf?" he asked, his tone casual, though the question weighed heavily on his mind.

He needed their opinions because his own knowledge of the race was limited. He had read about them before, but the information he found seemed biased, filled with hatred, and sparse, given Euclair Village's limited library resources.

"They're a race forsaken by the deity. Why do you ask?" Tritons replied, his question probing deeper than he was ready to answer.

"Just curious," Lucien shrugged. "But why were they forsaken in the first place?"

"They're traitors from the spirit realm," Rosetta interjected. "There are two kinds: fairies or light elf, and dark elf who followed the dark path."

"Dark path? You mean Moros?" he inquired, sensing more to the story.
