Chapter 170: The Village Is Under Attack! (New Chapter!)

Gibson was in the midst of reviewing reports left behind by Lord Lucien. The efficiency and clarity of Lucien's work were unmatched, and Gibson often found himself struggling to keep up.

He sighed, deciding to take a break. As he stood and turned to look out the window, he noticed darkening clouds, signaling the approach of evening. But these clouds weren't normal, and a sense of dread churned in his stomach.

He prayed to Goddess Salacia, hoping nothing bad would happen in Lucien's absence. However, his prayer went unanswered, turning into a nightmare as screams of villagers reached his ears.

Gibson rushed out of his office, running into his son, Auden, who was also sprinting towards him, breathless and pale with anxiety.

"Emon's here! And he's brought his men to destroy the village!" Auden shouted. "We need to call Lord Lucien."

"Understood. You go to the office and get the flare. If things get out of control, use it," Gibson instructed.
