"Mom, do you think these fireworks are enough?" Lithira asked, pointing at a pile of fireworks on the workshop floor.
The space was filled to the brim, yet she felt it wasn't sufficient.
"Add more, and you'll set the entire forest on fire," Brigantiea said sarcastically, crossing her arms.
Lithira pouted. "It's just that Lucien gave us such beautiful gifts. Fireworks don't seem enough to repay him." She turned the bracelet he had given her in her hands and smiled.
Brigantiea sighed. "You've given plenty already—golems, mana crystals, dedication, even yourself. That's why he gives us gifts in return."
Lithira shrugged. "You might be right."
They sat down at a table laden with desserts and tea. Brigantiea knew her daughter loved sweets, but this was excessive.
She picked up a teacup and said, "Don't eat too many sweets, you'll get fat." She sipped her tea.
