I'll take care of it

"Dont worry about it, i may not be a nationalist but i believe that this is a Korean issue and i will take care of it" Steve spoke up

He didn't know why but he felt the need to do this by himself… no, he knew exactly why he wanted to take care of it. This would result in the death of many more hunters than necessary.

"Who are you?" the man, Kyoto Ryuji asked

"Steven Grant, craftsman and current National Level hunter" Steve replied as he brought out his ID

As soon as he did so, he saw the man's eyes widen as a wired mixture of joy and sadness flashed through his face.

"I told you he had something to gain" Steve said to Judy as though he had won a bet

[Wanting a rank promotion is nothing compared to the sacrifices he will be making]

"I see"

"With all due respect sir, this is an S-rank dungeon that has probably evolved even past that, two A-ranks were needed to defeat just one of the ants from there… With one of said A-ranks dying" Kyoto Ryuji said

"And I understand your fears, but I have my ways… from what you just said, your Draw Sword Guild has 11 S-ranks you included, what are the chances that they would return alive?" Steve began

"It is a common fact that the ants are evolving and I can bet even my brain on the fact that there will be at least one or two National Level Monsters on that island, if you face them what will you do then?" He continued

"That would mean 10 of humanity's best defence against these monsters gone… You may be from a different nation and a private guild but I believe that the main goal of us being hunters is to protect humanity… It may be a suicide mission but this is just putting a gullitione on your neck"

"Even if it is so, may I know how you plan to take care of all of them on your own"

"That is up to me to decide… However, looking at all of you, I can tell that you all would still go on with the mission no matter what I say, so when you guys are ready, stop by my store… A good weapon or armour can be the difference between life and death" Steve said as he stood up.

This wasn't about him being more powerful nor was Ut him calling them weak. It was just what it was, he had yet to go anywhere close to the Jeju Island dungeon.

However, Judy's senses put at least two of the creatures there at National Level.

There existed a power gap between S-ranks… A very wide gap for example, the Japanese Hunter here, Kyoto Ryuji was way above the Beast in terms of power.

He was rated to be stronger than Baek Yoonho by a mile by Judy and yet when comparing the man to even the Chairman, it was like comparing a child to a tiger.

The gap was way too much, if there were two National Level Monsters on that island then it wouldn't matter how many S-ranks they had, they would die.

He couldn't blame them though for not wanting to follow with his proposal, this was an important situation that needed to be taken care of as quickly as possible.

In such a situation who would you pick, the group of powerful S-ranks who you have witnessed clear hundreds of Gates or the Supposed National Level Hunter who had only cleared on gate.

One group you have a lot of receipts that proves that they are worthy of their rank and power, the other has nothing but a recent red gate incident in which there exists a lot of variables.
