Chapter 3: Chapter 3: "It's human world "

Laughter, like delicate music, echoed through the underground chamber as Laura's mirth danced on the mention of dragon eggs. Ana's response, a nod shrouded in profound certainty, painted the scene with an enigmatic allure. "So, a dragon simply graced us with its presence, laid eggs, and vanished?" Laura's imagination grappled with the fantastical notion. "And considering dragons ceased to exist over two thousand years ago, how do their eggs endure?"

"Pay attention," Ana instructed, pressing the torch against Laura's chest. Delicate hands lifted one of the eggs, wiping away grime with practiced precision. "Dragons differ from chickens," Ana shared, her gaze unwavering on the eggs. "Dragon eggs can remain dormant for twenty thousand years, awaiting the catalyst that can truly hatch them – fire." Her calm explanation continued, "Since dragons cannot access this place, someone likely concealed them here, aspiring for their discovery someday." Laura stood there, absorbing Ana's words; no wonder Ana earned the title of 'the best.'

"But the lingering question is, why keep them beyond our reach?" Laura contemplated, seeking answers from Ana.

"Perhaps, dragons didn't vanish; they were systematically eradicated."

"Why?" Laura's furrowed brow reflected her disbelief.

Ana met Laura's gaze, determination gleaming in her eyes. "That's what we need to uncover. These eggs are a key, a link to a world thought lost to history. We must protect them and unveil the purpose that kept them concealed for millennia."

Squinting at the objects, Laura struggled to fully comprehend. In the dim light, their muddy exteriors were revealed. As Ana wiped away the grime, the true nature of the discovery emerged—two dragon eggs, intricately patterned, pulsating with a glowing skin and subtle energy that hinted at the extraordinary life within.

A surge of awe enveloped Laura as the significance of the moment weighed heavily on them. Dragons, believed to be extinct mythical creatures, stood on the precipice of rebirth. The underground chamber echoed with the silent promise of newfound wonders.

"What do we do now?" Laura asked, her voice a mere whisper, as if afraid to disturb the sanctity of the discovery.

Ana, still fixated on the dragon eggs, spoke with purpose, "We unlock their secrets, delve into the forgotten chapters of our world, and confront the mysteries that have lingered in the shadows for far too long. These dragon eggs hold the key to a narrative that has long been obscured."

"I suggest we leave them here, find a solution, and keep our discovery quiet until then."

Ana nodded, muttering to herself, "We need them to hatch."

Laura couldn't wait to witness that moment. As her mind conjured the image of the dragon, she envisioned its scales in an array of great grey shades, reminiscent of storm clouds gathering in the vast canvas of the sky. The sheer enormity of the creature left her breathless, a living embodiment of fantastical realms surpassing the boundaries of her wildest dreams.

The dragon's eyes, intense and mysterious, held a silent knowledge of ancient secrets. As its wings unfurled, she could almost feel the leathery texture beneath her fingertips. Claws traced patterns on the imaginary ground, leaving indelible marks echoing tales of battles fought in the recesses of her imagination. Gleaming teeth hinted at a coexistence of danger and elegance, while scars etched into its mythical form whispered stories of resilience and triumph.

With a vivid burst of imagination, the dragon drew breath, igniting a fiery spectacle that painted the mental canvas with hues of warmth and power, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of her mind.

"...Laura?" Ana called aggressively, snapping her back to reality. "What the hell are you thinking about?" she questioned, but Laura had nothing to tell. "Let's get going anyway; it's getting darker." Laura nodded in agreement.

With the torch held high, they set the eggs in a more secretive place, covering them with mud. They stepped out of the passage and turned the rock back to where it was.

In the dimly lit hostel room, Ana and the narrator huddled together, the flickering torch casting dancing shadows on their determined faces. The weight of their secret discovery pressed upon them as they closed the door, retreating from prying ears.

"We can't let anyone overhear us," Ana whispered, her eyes glinting with a mixture of excitement and caution. "We're on the brink of unraveling something monumental, and we can't risk interference."

They both sat on the long bench opposite their hostel, facing each other, surrounded by books and Laura's mobile. As usual, they distanced themselves from other students of the Academy, enjoying each other's company.

"Research proves we can't hatch them here nor raise them; the world is too fragile to comprehend the energy of a dragon," Ana announced, her revelation stemming from personal research rather than any written records.

"What do you mean? Dragons lived here thousands of years ago?" Laura asked, confusion etched across her face.

"No, our world didn't really exist thousands of years ago; it was shaped out of somewhere," Ana explained.

Laura, waking up to the reality of her own discovery, pondered the implications. "If what you're saying is true," she mused, "there's definitely a place where we can do whatever we want, a place that can handle anything—power or not—a place our world was crafted from." The realization hung in the air, sparking a sense of adventure and the promise of unlocking the ancient secrets that bound their destinies to the dragon eggs.

"Where's that?" Ana asked her, looking rather confused.

"It's the Human world." Laura started, knowing fully well what she was saying could endanger them, but she only cared about getting the Dragon out of the shell. "But to get there, we need the royal crest, a magical one," she completed with Ana staring at her in disbelief.

Ana's laughter, a melodic response to Laura's audacious plan, reverberated through the dimly lit room. The flickering torch cast dynamic shadows on the walls, mirroring the uncertainty that surrounded their quest. "We aren't royal," she replied, chuckling. "It's dumb to think of that; we need an alternative, Laura.

"We ain't royal, yes, but that doesn't stop us from getting one, whereas I've a plan."

Laura leaned in, her eyes glinting with determination as she unfolded her intricate plan. "We infiltrate the Royal Archives, find the hidden scrolls that reveal the location of the magical royal crest, and secure it for our journey to the Human world. It's a risk, but it's the only way we can unlock the secrets guarded by these dragon eggs and embark on an adventure that transcends the boundaries of our known existence."

Ana's eyes widened at the audacity of the plan, but a spark of excitement danced in their depths. "Infiltrating the Royal Archives? You're becoming more desperate with this."Ana tried to caution and she she does was to nudge. "But if it's the key to unlocking the mysteries surrounding these dragon eggs, then count me in."

The two friends smiles at each other as they both plan in getting into a fresh trouble.
