Chapter 32: PWA 32 Jelly Bean Town II [Rewrite]

I assure you, the woman and girls around who hear you saying something gentlemanly like that would have a more positive view to you than if you are swearing or cursing on people.

Anyway, what am I doing giving some love and relationship tips to people who are peeping on my adventure from my former world?

Let's continue on the story, okay?

...

After I am finished cuddling with the tomato red Kotonoha, we both met with Professor Oak's Aide who is bringing a sealed package on him.

After having a video call with Professor Oak using a Rental PC in the corner of the Pokémon Center to make sure we have gotten the right package, I also informed the Pokémon Professor that I along with Kotonoha plans to stay in the Jelly Bean Town for tonight and will go back to Klepon Town on the next morning due to Spearow flocks which is currently on the rage today on the route in between the Jelly Bean Town and the Klepon Town.

If nothing goes wrong, we can arrived at Klepon Town on the night by increasing the speed of our travel since we already know the route from here to there.

Professor Oak give his consent and told us to keep our safety as our topmost priority.

With that, the video call ends and I put the package on my Trainer Bagpack.

I along with Kotonoha then continue spend the remaining 1 hour of the PC rent that cost 50 Pokedollar by browsing some news on the Pokenets.

Oh, it is true that the Spearow flocks already begun to storm the route from Jelly Bean Town to Klepon Town since yesterday evening.

The Spearows which gathered in number itself is already a trouble.

And there is even a handful number of Fearows spotted amongst them.

The Local Pokémon Ranger and Ace Trainer Teams have already been dispatched by the League to take control over this situation and handle the Spearow flocks to restore the peace and security on the two Towns.

It is estimated that the Spearow flocks will be cleared up before today's sunset.

That means traveling until then will still bore a risk of encountering a horde of Spearows that can reach the number of a dozen or two at once.

If this is still a game, Pokémon swarm would be a happy event for the players.

But here in the PokeWack World, where there are one or two dozens of those horde of Spearows which can gang up on you all at once, Pokémon swarm can be a free ride ticket to an afterlife for those who are not ready and/or careful.

Precisely it is because there are a lot of overconfident people, especially among the beginner trainers who used to win a lot on the sanctioned, rule bound Pokémon battles against the other trainers that they think that they are an invincible existence that there are always a whole lot of them who is going reckless and fearlessly charged over to challenge the wild Pokémon swarm.

And when that happens, all hells break loose.

Wild Pokémons didn't adhere to the sanctioned battle rules.

If there are a dozen or twenty of them, they all will strikes you and your Pokémon at once.

If the number is a hundred or more, well.... Let's just ust pray that you have something like smoke screen or any escape items that can be used to flee from the wild Pokémons.

If not, then just say sayonara to your life.

Or maybe you can pick a dignified pose for your last position so that you don't have a shameful death?

In statistics, every year, there are almost half of the new trainer of the year who goes missing and have never been found again.

Either they are really getting lost on their journey, or they ends up in wild Pokemon's belly is another question to be asked.

Anyway, I plan to keep playing it safe since we only have one life in here.

Oh, I quickly closed Kotonoha's eyes as I scrolled over on the news about the death toll from the spearow flocks so far.

From yesterday evening to up until an hour ago, there is already more than twenty dead trainer's bodies found by the Pokémon Ranger and Ace Teams.

And the number is expected to go even higher after the clean up is finished as there are still a lot of are that haven't been covered.

Some dead trainers are found with six to ten broken pokeballs and carcasses of their own pokemons, indicating that those people have already trained that same number of Pokémons on their team.

And they are all still dead, their corpse are disfigured beyond recognition as the spearows have feasted on their and their Pokémon's fresh meat.

Why I covered Kotonoha's eyes as I looked at this news, you asked?

That is because the news come with all the gruesome photos of the trainers that have been found dead.

Screw censorship.

There is no such things on this wacky PokéWack World.

The reason why those photos are uploaded on the news in the first place is so that on the off chance that the family or people related to those trainers looking at the news are recognising them, they can call on the local authorities to send the corpse to their place to get a proper burial after the identity or status of that trainer has been confirmed.

[ ] Author's Note [ ]

Talking about number 69, everybody must have been familiar with the entry #069 on the Pokedex, the Flower Pokémon Bellsprout! Yup, strangely enough, even though it is already shaped like a fly catcher pitcher plants, but they are still nicknamed as "Flower Pokémon" instead of being called "Flycatcher Pokémon" like their evolutions, number #070 Weepinbell and #071 Victreebell.
