Chapter 235: Chapter 232 - The French Battlefront (3)

The rags that held Mahoraga together began to tear away, one by one, revealing a tall pale humanoid being, over three meters tall. A wheel-like object hovered above his head while the white tail behind his head moved gently sideways.

With every step he took, the ground sank slightly, white smoke came out of the pale creature's mouth while its eyes, which looked like wings, were closed peacefully.

Philip sensed enormous danger coming from that Special Grade Cursed Spirit, there was a malice in it that made the French Prince's face extremely dignified.

Asterion, seeing his reaction, lifted his lips and spoke with a tone full of mirthless innocence. "This is Mahoraga, he killed the Special Grade Wizard from Italy, I hope you enjoy playing with him, Mahoraga loves meeting new friends to play with."

The French Wizard took a deep breath listening to Asterion's words, he filtered out the words meant to irritate him and focused on the information he had received. What stood before him was a real monster capable of killing a Special Grade Wizard!

"Victor, Clarisse, are you just going to watch?" Philip asked, looking in the direction of Andorra la Vieja. Just as he finished speaking, two figures flew across the city sky and quickly arrived at his side. A man and a woman.

Asterion looked at them both with a touch of curiosity. The man looked old, all his hair was as white as it could be, which was rare, given that a wizard aged more slowly and it was only towards the end of his life that his appearance began to age.

He had a stern expression as a sword lay in its scabbard at the man's waist; he was dressed in a simple black suit, without any opulence. If it hadn't been for the sword at his waist and the intensity of the magical aura emanating from the man's tall, erect body, he wouldn't have believed he was a special grade wizard.

Asterion could see that the man in front of him was a simple old man like any other in the world.

Victor Berum, an old nomadic Wizard who had no fixed country.

Next to Victor was a surprisingly young woman, about thirty years old! She had long black hair and purple eyes, the same color as the dress that hugged his body perfectly. Asterion was confused, as he didn't recognize her features, as they didn't match any of the 33 registered Special Grade Wizards and Witches.

"I really want to know what France paid to make you both fight in this foolish war orchestrated by manipulators in the shadows." Asterion didn't jump into combat so quickly, especially without knowing the Enemy's Innate Techniques from those of the woman in the purple dress.

"We weren't paid to fight you to the death, Lord Black, we're just employed to stop your advance." Victor replied, his gray eyes roaming between Asterion and the Pale Beast approaching with slow steps, without any sign of urgency.

Clarisse, standing next to Victor, nodded as she looked at Asterion with a calm but strange gaze, as if she saw something very familiar.

Honestly, Asterion wasn't surprised by Victor's words, the price for encouraging a Special Grade Wizard to kill another Special Grade Wizard couldn't simply be calculated in coins or monetary value, it had to be something important enough to make the wizard in question stronger.

And believe me, something like that wasn't so easy to come by, as you may have noticed after Salazar's surgery on Asterion, the price of these items was often death, which would have happened to Asterion if he hadn't had Baskerville at the time.

Then Asterion's face turned extremely cold as he took a step forward. "Unfortunately, you've miscalculated something... I'm going to fight to kill you three."

Behind him, two other gigantic figures emerged from the Black Suns of energy.

----

Everyone was shocked to see the gigantic six suns above in the sky, even though they were far away, they could feel the maliciousness and the colossal amount of negative magical energy increasing every moment.

It was as if the door to hell had been opened and demons were coming into the world once again.

At the same time, regardless of country, everyone looked at the armor-clad figure in the air with high spirits and full of admiration. Which, if you thought about it, was quite normal, in a world where strength could make you survive, admiration for the strong was in the blood of every wizard or witch.

Daphne, who was wearing black military clothes, just like all the English soldiers, looked up at the sky and the four figures floating in the air. A trace of concern flashed through her eyes, but she quickly focused on the main thing, especially after hearing the orders of the Vice General, Alastor Moody.

Who, by the way, had arrested her uncle, her mother's brother. Not that he didn't deserve to be locked up in Azkaban and die in that hellish place, her uncle had killed a couple of muggles because they'd just bumped into him.

"The big boys upstairs are fighting and when Gods fight, we mere mortals suffer. So back off and focus on capturing the city, we'll get past the French coalition and attack Andorra la Vieja!!!" Moody looked at the four figures in the sky and quickly acted, the man didn't hesitate and ordered all the troops to attack.

In his eyes, it was an excellent opportunity to invade the city now that all the Special Grade Wizards were away!

With Moody's orders, all the English troops moved quickly. No one hesitated, especially the veterans who followed the order immediately.

Seeing the mobilization of the English troops, Duarte and Alejandro didn't hesitate either and ordered the attack, the slowest was the Italian troops, not that the Italian soldiers were bad, but their commander hesitated to give the order and delayed the attack on their part. And when he gave the order, the Allied troops were fifty meters away.

Daphne countered the enemy's spell, he threw a Diffindo at the enemy while she used the Innate technique of House Greengrass, a blade of wind cut the enemy's neck in a mere instant.

Blood splattered in the air as she watched the man's life pass before her, Daphne's face was indifferent and she didn't give him the chance to counterattack even though he was wounded.

A bolt of red lightning shot out from the tip of Daphne's wand, blasting the man into a million pieces in an extremely bloody scene.

Blood splattered onto Daphne's face, almost completely staining her cheek, but the Future Lady of House Black remained indifferent as she looked around, death and more death appearing before her. An extremely bloody and cruel war. Everyone looked like an animal killing itself on other people's orders.

Daphne's blue eyes caught the figure of Asterion's cousin on the battlefield, Nymphadora Tonks. She looked like a goddess of war, her hands transformed into gigantic hammers and smashed the enemy without any resistance, the scene was even bloodier than hers.

At the same time, Daphne noticed that the quality of the French troops seemed far below what was expected for an army guarding the border.

"Is it possible that they left the weakest on the border and reinforced the inner part of the country?" Daphne muttered to herself as her body began to separate from the ground.

"Innate Spell Manipulation - Heart of Nature - Manipulation of the Elements." Wind and lightning surrounded her figure, she looked like a Valkyria, surrounded by wind and lightning.

Like a conductor controlling the orchestra, Daphne controlled the elements by attacking enemy troops without any discrimination, tore up the ground with her powerful lightning and sent enemy wizards and witches flying with violent gusts of wind.

It wasn't just her who started fighting in earnest - Ana Rodriguez - a young Grade 1 Wizard, tore through the battlefield like blinding lightning. Her figure could barely be seen, she was so fast and deadly that she looked like a wizard killing machine, slicing through them like a vegetable.

"Faster, faster, faster." Ana muttered to herself as her body practically transformed into electricity, her hands becoming scythes reaping lives with extreme efficiency and agility.

The Vice General of England, Alastor Moody, walked calmly across the battlefield towards the city while his right eye seemed to move at high speed, it looked strange and extremely frightening.

Around him, gigantic black eyes appeared in the air while anything near him seemed to become extremely frightened to the point of turning and fleeing in complete terror.

The moment this happened, a bolt of green lightning shot out from the tip of his wand and struck his enemies, killing them on the spot, as the consequences of using high level dark magic mattered little in war. That's what Moody was doing, not caring about international laws that forbade such spells in war.

Duarte and Alejandro, seeing the massacre unfolding before them, couldn't help but take a deep breath. They thought it would be difficult to fight an army of almost a thousand wizards and witches, but seeing the situation in front of them, they estimated that within ten minutes, the enemy troops would surrender or retreat into the city.

And as they expected, the enemies did indeed see the situation they were in and retreated towards the city while still maintaining a front line of spells, delaying the troops from England, Portugal, Spain and Italy.

Seeing the situation, they both looked up and anxiously awaited the outcome of the battle taking place in the sky at that moment!

Suddenly, their expressions changed dramatically as the sky darkened in front of them.

A meteor swept through the clouds and plummeted towards the ground!

In the next second, a deafening explosion rang out across the world as a flash of light blurred the vision of many, including the ministers of magic themselves.

BOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!

Chapter 236: hapter 233 - The French Battlefront (4)

Asterion, who was about to attack, looked up and in a mere instant, the clouds dispersed, a gigantic meteor appeared before his eyes!

His senses picked up nothing, not even a trace of magical energy, there was no negative magical energy in the air, there was absolutely nothing. The meteor simply appeared in front of him as if it had always been there, which was completely impossible.

And looking at Philip, Victor and Clarisse's shocked expression, Asterion knew that it wasn't their team's job either!

Drawing his wand, just as Asterion was ready to cut the meteor into several smaller pieces, an explosion occurred, a blinding light blinding anything nearby.

BOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

If Asterion hadn't activated his Second Innate Technique, [The Imperfect Destruction of Truth], he would have been blinded too and paralyzed by the violent shockwave that spread through the air.

Asterion watched the explosion with a cold expression, the gigantic meteor shattered into millions of smaller pieces and the sky was covered in flaming rocks falling towards the ground. If he didn't move, he knew that anything below Grade 1 would be dead, including the entire city of Andorra la Vieja!

Having canceled Sadalmelik-Albus' summoning, Asterion quickly summoned Ouroboros.

In an instant, a gigantic silver serpent manifested in the air as it moved its body gracefully through the air, letting out distant, guttural roars.

"Fall back." Asterion muttered to himself as a huge amount of magical energy inside him disappeared in the blink of an eye!

As soon as Asterion's words rang out, something that defied the logic of the world happened. Ouroboros' negative magical energy controlled the Aspect of Reality itself and distorted reality itself, cause and effect, time and space. Every sky that rained down flaming stones began to recede.

Philip, Victor and Clarisse, who had managed to regain their sight, were completely shocked by the scene before them, this was not the power that a mortal should possess, it was a power that only a God could manipulate.

At the same time, they understood that Asterion probably had Special Grade Cursed Spirits to deal with every situation they put him in. Honestly, a place with such an enemy made the three of them feel enormous pressure. Which reminded them of when they were still mere Grade 1 wizards, it had been a long time since they had felt that way.

Victor in particular, the oldest of the group at almost 147 years old, felt it even more than the two next to him, Philip and Clarisse, who were still relatively young at sixty and forty respectively.

Asterion didn't mind the stares of the three Special Grade Wizards and focused entirely on the meteor, now completely intact, with no sign that it was going to explode at any moment.

Patriarch Black was still using his two Innate Techniques, observing the whole meteor and analyzing how it had appeared in this place and fallen exactly at this unfortunate time.

Suddenly, the black pentagrams in Asterion's eyes noticed something unusual, an almost minute trace of Negative Magical Energy, smaller than a molecule, but still noticeable mainly to him. If it had been Rose, she would have noticed, the Six Eyes were really good at this.

Asterion followed the trail of negative magical energy in the air and looked towards the North, his gaze crossing great distances and stopping on a humanoid being on a hill. The being's skin resembled boulders while his figure resembled someone extremely fat. There were six eyes on the Cursed Spirit and his ears resembled Buddha ears.

At the same time, an Islamic-looking man stood next to the Special Grade Cursed Spirit, wearing an elegant black suit with a white vest. His beard was perfectly manicured and very well groomed.

Asterion's face instantly turned cold at the extreme, an intense and colossal murderous intent surrounded his body, it almost looked like a black and red subsistence.

Again, again someone was plotting against him, again and again, to say that Asterion was furious at this moment was to simplify what he was feeling.

He couldn't understand why no one had the respect for him that they should! Hadn't he already killed enough? Hadn't he already exposed more than one of his trump cards? As in Merlin's name, there was someone still out to plot against him.

It seemed that he had to destroy an entire country for people to have respect for him, if that didn't happen, he'd have to burn down the world for everyone to really respect him!

Asterion turned his wrist and a gigantic curtain of darkness formed above the sky, it was so big that it could easily reach tens of kilometers.

Asterion muttered coldly.

"Jörmungund."

A being emerged from the curtain of darkness, completely blocking out the sunlight.

-

Herpo, seeing Asterion's gaze, looked at the Special Grade Cursed Spirit beside him and shook his head. Asterion hadn't found his tracks, but that of the Cursed Spirit. Which he hadn't really expected to happen, but seeing the Pentagrams in the fourteen-year-old's eyes, the Greek wizard's lips lifted in a smile.

Although he already knew the information, seeing it in person still made him want to laugh. He hadn't expected that the soul spell would actually work in Salazar's hands, but like any experiment, there was always a chance that it would be successful.

At the same time, he was immediately wary of Asterion, he knew a lot about how the Slytherin House Innate Technique worked, it was one of the innate techniques capable of destroying his Horcrux. And seeing the monster that could Adapt to any Innate Technique on the battlefield, the danger he was in right now was extremely great.

Suddenly, the sky darkened completely. Herpo looked up and an ear-to-ear grin appeared on his face, he spread his arms and enjoyed the sight of the gigantic serpent emerging from the curtain of darkness. "Corvinus, your descendant is really impressive!"

A gigantic golden serpent covered the sky of the Iberian peninsula, its body reaching an unbelievable tens of kilometers in length. The serpent's eyes were a deep shade of red as its body moved slowly across the sky, as if it were a pillar supporting the sky itself.

A feeling of oppression made everyone below Special Grade kneel down without any surprise, even Special Grades on the spot felt that the air seemed denser, making it a little more difficult to move around.

Herpo and the Cursed Spirit who was the target of the pressure experienced this feeling even more, it was as if the air itself had become liquid and viscous, even performing magic became a more complicated task.

"Look what you've done, you've made him angry." Herpo commented with a smile on his lips, his brown eyes looking at the gigantic golden serpent with a glittering gaze.

The Cursed Spirit looked at Herpo with a cold gaze and surprisingly, opened its mouth and spoke. "Who cares if he's angry, he's our enemy." His voice was hoarse and cold, there was no emotion or warmth in his tone.

"Attacking a calm enemy and attacking an enemy full of rage are two completely different things. Hatred often brings a certain increase in the level of power." Herpo replied looking at the Cursed Spirit with an amused look, it was a Cursed Spirit that had formed on a mountain top after a meteor hit it.

Humans witnessed the destruction and thinking it was the power of a god, they erected a shrine to worship it, but it wasn't a god that had been created, but a Cursed Spirit.

Perhaps because it had such an unusual birth, the Cursed Spirit called Oyama could speak and even think like a human. It wasn't the first time Herpo had seen a Cursed Spirit speak, but it was the first time he had seen a Cursed Spirit think logically like a human.

After hearing Herpo's words, the Cursed Spirit seemed to ponder and nodded. "As you said, better to fight a calm enemy than an angry one."

"Are you finished talking, you disgusting insects?" Hearing the words above him, Herpo flashed an amused smile and raised his head, watching Asterion above him with his black armor and crimson cloak over his shoulders.

"It's been a while, Asterion, or should I call you Lord Black?" Herpo didn't mind the childish teasing. He needed a lot more to make him angry.

"Lord Black to you, we're not as friendly as you might think." Asterion replied with a disgusted expression. "Besides, I'd rather not associate with a necrophiliac, it'll tarnish my reputation for all eternity."

The smile on Herpo's face visually contorted, a rigid look appearing on his face. He really didn't like people with sharp tongues, especially not Asterion, the boy really knew how to make him angry with just a few words.

"By Zeus, I really want to sew your mouth shut, maybe then peace would reign in the world once again." Herpo commented with a gentle look, but his gaze was so cold it could freeze the world.

"Just you? A worm that hides in holes? You should go back to the hole you came out of and contemplate your own insignificance, maybe you'll finally kill yourself after seeing how ugly you are." Asterion's lips curved into a cold smile and he replied in a voice devoid of warmth.

"I really want to kill you, boy." Herpo said with a calm tone, but his voice was so inexpressive that it gave Oyama next to him goosebumps.
