Chapter 229: Chapter 226 - A Dark Day (2)

After looking at Joseph, Dumbledore's eyes fell on the French Minister of Magic - Luis Delacuor - a man he never imagined would have the courage to do what he did. But this only reinforced that age had hit him hard, like a runaway train.

His old self would have expected betrayal from even his most loyal friend, but here he was, at the mercy of conspiracies from insignificant people he never thought would one day fall for such mad and irrational plots. "I assume you already know your fate, Minister Delacuor."

Everyone's eyes turned to Luis, they looked at Joseph and then at Luis, repeating this a few times until they realized that Luis and Joseph were working together and had orchestrated the death of the Heir to House Ivanov! Which was simply shocking to them.

"Do you think I had a choice? I did everything for my country and nothing else." Luis showed no fear and said, his voice tired and harsh. Even in front of Seven Special Grade Wizards, he remained composed, even though he was sweating with the nervousness of the situation he found himself in at the moment.

Luis's words angered the furious Dmitri, the Russian Minister appeared at the Russian Minister of Magic's side and with a single punch, Fleur's father was thrown to the ground with a thud as blood and a few teeth dripped from his mouth onto the floor.

No one showed any pity, they just looked on indifferently, even if he was killed, no one would blink in surprise.

"The only reason you're not dead is because I want you to suffer, but don't give me a reason to kill you here and now, because I'm going to have a lot of fun." Dmitri spoke, his voice so cold that it made the temperature in the room drop slightly. Luis held his mouth with a broken and dislocated jaw as he looked calmly at the Russian Minister of Magic.

"So that's it? War." Ingrid Bergström, Swedish Minister of Magic and a Special Grade Wizard, leaned back in her chair and commented with a calm, cold tone. She knew that as soon as Russia declared war on Germany, the Germans' allies would automatically declare war on Russia.

As soon as Russia started the war, Russia's allies would also declare war on all the other countries that had allies, and so on. It was like a row of dominoes, all that was needed was for the first piece to fall to take all the others with it.

The Third Magic World War...

A heavy atmosphere hung in the air, Ingrid's words only made that atmosphere even heavier, if she could think it, they could also imagine the terrible war to come.

Perhaps the only one who wasn't worried was the Brazilian Minister of Magic, Carlos da Silva Pereira. What did the war in Europe have to do with South America? As far as he was concerned, everyone could kill themselves and he wouldn't care, he would just regret that the country's economy might go downhill for a while.

Asterion, who had just arrived, couldn't help but notice the heavy atmosphere, but he didn't mind at all. His eyes fell on two people, Joseph and Luis. Smiling coldly, he asked. "Why aren't they dead? Since they've declared war, they're useless."

"I don't want them to die and be martyrs for the magical population, giving them a symbol of resistance will only make them fight more fervently." Dumbledore rolled his eyes and replied while looking at both the German and French Ministers of Magic.

"It doesn't matter if there are epic, incredible heroes appearing, they will be killed by us. There will be no resistance." Asterion showed an indifferent expression as he looked at the other Ministers of Magic. There were at least 3-4 allies from Germany and France present.

"Special Grade Wizards cannot directly attack soldiers on the battlefield, Lord Black. It's a rule laid down in the Geneva Convention, an agreement murdered by the thirty-one Special Grade Wizards and Witches." Ingrid, the Swedish Minister, said with a cold tone, looking at the fourteen-year-old boy.

Asterion looked at one of the ten Special Grade Witche of the World and spoke with an indifferent tone. "No offense, Minister of Magic, but to hell with your rules."

Asterion's words made Ingrid's face even colder than usual, the temperature of the room dropping dramatically. "Watch your words, child, when I became famous fighting wars, you weren't even born!" She spoke in a terribly cold tone.

"See?" Holding out his hand and showing it shaking, Asterion pretended to be frightened and replied. "I'm scared to death. I'm so scared that I'm going to run away, otherwise the wicked old witch might turn me into a toad."

"I've already told you not to accept things from old suspicions. Maybe she wanted to give you a poisoned apple, Asty~" Rose, who had been listening in, appeared and stood next to her fiancé. She commented with a tone full of sarcasm and provocation.

If before Ingrid's face had been cold, at this moment her face was completely devoid of any emotion, an ice-blue magical aura began to emanate from her body. The walls, ceiling and floor of all the Vips seats were gradually freezing.

"You ignorant, arrogant, overbearing brats. I'll teach you that the world isn't decided on the amount of magical energy." Ingrid spoke, her voice icy to the point of freezing one's soul. Her influence began to change the whole atmosphere, snow and ice began to appear all over the Quidditch Stadium.

The ministers of magic who weren't Special Grade didn't hesitate to leave, leaving nine people in the place, nine Special Grade Wizards and Witches!

Russian Minister of Magic - Dmitri Ivanov.

Austrian Minister of Magic - Helena von Strauss.

Swedish Minister of Magic - Ingrid Bergström.

Japanese Minister of Magic - Satoshi Nakamura.

The President of MACUSA - Benjamin Thorne.

Ministra da Magia Chinês – Mei Ling Zhao.

Marshall of the Clock Tower - Albus Dumbledore.

Lord of the Clock Tower - Asterion Black.

Matriarch of House Potter - Rose Potter.

Of the nine Special Grade Wizards, three were allies of France and Germany. Japan, Austria, Sweden.

However, the allied team was even more powerful, with five Special Grade Wizards. Russia, England, the United States.

Seeing that everything was about to explode into battle at that moment, Dumbledore spoke, his voice strong and calm. "Enough of this childishness."

"Right now, it's best to safely return the people to their respective countries and prepare for the war to come. However, if you want to fight now, I can help you buy a coffin earlier." He spoke, his blue eyes behind the lenses of his glasses staring at the four Special Grade Wizards and Witches.

"I'll come after you on the battlefield, kid." Ingrid commented coldly and without bothering to look at Joseph or Luis, she walked off with a terribly icy look on her face. Although they were allies, France and Germany could elect another Minister of Magic. She felt no goodwill towards two men who would bring the Third Wizarding World War into her lap.

"You'd better not run away when I find you on the battlefield, I'd be very sorry to massacre your soldiers to force you to show up." Asterion showed nothing but sarcasm and bloodlust at the woman's words.

Ingrid snorted coldly and left without answering his words. The other Special Grade Wizards looked at each other and followed the woman, no one tried to help Joseph or Luis, both of whom were responsible for bringing such big problems to them. How could they help them!

"That was exciting." Rose commented in an amused voice, although Asterion and Dumbledore could notice the tension in her voice.

"I'll call a Parliamentary Meeting, you two must be present, we want to show unity in these difficult times." Stroking Rose's hair, Dumbledore spoke, his voice serious but extremely calm, as if nothing could make him feel any pressure or nervousness.

Turning to look at Dmitri, Dumbledore said with a cold tone, looking at the two French and German Ministers of Magic. "Minister Dmitri, I'll leave these two as your prisoners, I hope they don't escape, Russia probably has a lot of Organization R spies."

Honestly, he wouldn't be surprised if Russia had a lot of Organization R spies, so he had to warn Dmitri so that something like this didn't happen. If Luis or Joseph escaped, it would be the same as setting them both up as symbols of resistance for the French and German people.

Suddenly, the eyes of Rose, Asterion, Dumbledore, Dmitri and Benjamin looked at Luis Delacour at the same time. Under their shocked eyes, Luis' body gradually began to crack as a smile appeared on the French Minister of Magic's face.

"We'll see on the battlefield." Luis said as his body exploded into a million pieces of glass.

Dmitri's face became extremely grim, one of his son's killers had just escaped before his eyes.

"Mirror World, The Innate Technique of House Delacour." Rose whispered to herself, she had fought Fleur, so she knew the effects of the Innate Technique, but she hadn't expected to be able to do something like this. Besides, the strength Luis showed wasn't that of a Grade 1 Wizard, but dangerously close to the Special Grade, a Semi-Special Grade Wizard!

"I wonder if he's ever actually been to England." Rose spoke again, her words making everyone frown. This kind of illusion-related Innate Technique was especially annoying and difficult to predict.

"I would like both Ministers of Magic to withdraw from English soil as soon as possible. We'll raise our defenses and castles, I hope you'll do the same, because this war is going to be brutal." Dumbledore didn't care about Louis' escape and focused on what was most important, he looked at both the Russian Minister of Magic and the President of MACUSA with a kind look.

Dmitri didn't reply and caught Joseph with a cruel, cold stare. Without speaking to anyone, he left in the direction of the Labyrinth, ready to retrieve his son's body. Looking at his rival's back, Benjamin let out a sad sigh and left, ready to take the entire American team and his people out of England.

"Let's get ready." Dumbledore looked at Rose and Asterion and spoke with an extraordinarily serious tone. He had to start planning a massive attack on Organization R himself.

Chapter 230: Chapter 227 - A Talk Between Two Monarchs (1)

England, London, City of Westminster.

Buckingham Palace.

Asterion was dressed extremely formally at this moment, a blue military suit hugged his body perfectly while his hair was combed meticulously. He wore two rings on his fingers, the Patriarch's Ring of House Black and the Ring of Marvolo Gaunt, containing one of the Three Relics of Death - the Resurrection Stone.

Looking at the majestic palace before him, Asterion let out a helpless sigh. Dumbledore was busy mobilizing the entire Clock Tower to erect barriers and castles all along the Isle of Britain, Rose was definitely not suited to speak to Queen Elizabeth II. Naturally, that left only him to speak to the Matriarch of House Windsor, the British Royal family.

[Note: If you have any doubts about what Great Britain, England and the United Kingdom are, I'll explain. Great Britain = Island. England = One of the three countries located on the Isle of Great Britain. United Kingdom = The union of four countries led by England. Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales. I hope I've helped].

Asterion had already notified him of his arrival, after all, arriving at someone's house unannounced was not polite or even considered a good thing to do. Waiting for a moment, he heard footsteps approaching and soon saw an elderly man wearing a black suit.

"Lord Black." The butler greeted Asterion and gestured for him to follow, which Patriarch Black did in silence.

The butler remained silent as he walked, but he couldn't help glancing at the tall, red-eyed boy beside him. When he heard that he would be guiding one of England's most important Wizards, he had expected to see Dumbledore, as he had done before.

As Butler to the royal family, he was privy to countless secrets that most people would never dream of knowing. He knew that a totally different society to which everyone was oblivious was hidden in the shadows of humanity itself.

Magic, witchcraft, cursed spirits. At the thought of such stories, the butler felt a chill run through his body.

So, seeing his young face, the butler showed no sign of disdain or contempt for his age, although the man next to him was indeed young, the aura he emanated was regal and more princely than Prince Charles himself.

"We have arrived, Lord Black." The butler spoke as he turned to Asterion.

Asterion nodded and stepped forward. The butler opened the door, revealing an elegantly designed room. It was a room for receiving important guests. There were five people in it, only one of whom he knew, and it was someone he was familiar with.

Edward Gray, the Agent who had always accompanied him on missions. Waving discreetly to the man, who returned the greeting, Asterion looked at four other people.

Two men and two women.

The first was an old man wearing a military suit similar to his own, including the Royal blue color, and was Prince Philip and King Consort of England. The man was about 73 years old and looked firmer and more upright than his son, Crown Prince Charles, who was about 46.

The woman next to Prince Charles was Princess Diana, she wore a pink suit and her blonde hair was short, two diamond earrings were in both her ears, a pearl necklace gracefully adorned her neck.

She had such a kind and gentle smile that you'd find it hard not to feel goodwill towards the princess.

However, Asterion's attention was soon focused on the most important person in the room: she was short and sat regally and inspiringly in the chair, a blue suit that matched her husband's hugging her body. Meticulously combed white hair covered her entire head. She had blue eyes, which for some reason reminded him of Dumbledore.

The same strong, determined and slightly stern look.

She was Elizabeth II, Queen of England and the United Kingdom, one of the most powerful women in the muggle world and the monarch of all the English.

Honestly, with the existence of the Cursed Spirits, the Wizarding World was very close to the Muggle World, which created a coexistence for the English Monarchy. Although wizards despised muggles, they respected their monarch, who had helped them enormously over the centuries. You probably wouldn't find a Pureblood Wizard who had never received any help from the House of Windsor.

"Your Grace, the Queen, it's an honor to finally meet you." Asterion placed his hand on his chest and bowed slightly forward as he looked directly into the Queen's eyes, which, strangely enough, were gazing at him with a touch of nostalgia.

"Sit down, Lord Black." Elizabeth looked at Arcturus' great-grandson and couldn't help but notice the great familiarity between them, not just in appearance, but in the way he behaved, he was an exact copy of the man.

Princess Diana served as his maid for the moment, but she didn't seem bothered by the situation, she looked curiously at Asterion, as if expecting him to do something that would surprise her at any moment.

Noticing this, Asterion made the teacup fly towards him, earning an incredulous and delighted look from the 33-year-old Princess. The reaction almost made Patriarch Black laugh, the Princess looked like a child who had discovered a whole new world after seeing a simple demonstration of a levitation spell.

Philip and Elizabeth smiled at the princess's childishness, they really liked this fun-loving and naturally cheerful daughter-in-law, although their son and Diana's marriage was not going well at all. Both sides had lovers, which was slowly ruining the marriage.

Charles didn't like his wife's childishness at such a serious moment, but he remained silent in the face of his father's powerful gaze.

"My condolences, Lord Black. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend Arcturus' wake. We were friends and he protected me when I was a child. He even taught me a few things about controlling those men from Parliament." Elizabeth said, her tone calm but somewhat emotional.

Asterion wasn't surprised, Arcturus had once said that he had protected the Queen of England, which he always spoke of with extreme pride.

"He told me, Your Grace. He was always proud to have protected Your Grace." Asterion replied with a small smile on his lips. A smile that Elizabeth shared at that moment.

After exchanging greetings, Asterion returned to his serious expression and looked at the queen with a calm gaze. "I'll be direct, Your Grace. I have to be in Parliament in just over half an hour."

Elizabeth remained impassive in the face of the incredibly serious voice of her friend's great-grandson. She knew something unbelievably serious was happening.

"The Third Magical World War is about to begin." Asterion was direct and did not hold back. In order to make this war less destructive and to keep the Cursed Spirits from being exposed as much as possible, the help of the Muggle community was more than necessary.

A heavy atmosphere hung in the air, even though Elizabeth didn't know magical history, she had participated in World War II, so how could she not know that this kind of war was simply terrible for the world as a whole.

Seeing that no one said anything, Asterion began to explain. "The First Magical World War caused the then center of the magical world, Rome, to collapse like a sand castle. The Second Magical World War resulted in the fall of Constantinople. We want to prevent England from suffering the same fate."

Asterion's words only made the atmosphere more tense. "England will do whatever it takes to prevent that." Elizabeth didn't flinch at his words, she wasn't an indecisive person to begin with, and she wasn't going to flinch now, at such a delicate moment.

"Your help is appreciated, Your Grace." Asterion said with a grateful look. With a wave of his hand, he took a pile of papers with countless pieces of information that Dumbledore had compiled. "This is information about the war and the likely culprits.

Elizabeth nodded and picked up one of the papers, put on her reading glasses and began to read. When she saw that the cause of the war was the death of the son of the Russian Minister of Magic, orchestrated by France and Germany, she couldn't help but snort out loud.

Ignoring Germany, she commented with a hint of sarcasm. "The French are as desperate as ever."

Asterion rolled his eyes at the English queen's xenophobia; as mentioned before, France and England were countries that didn't like each other, it was an old feud and one that would last even longer. Especially now, with the Third Magical World War.

Elizabeth continued looking at the papers and noticed that the wizards were setting up barriers and spells against Aparatar in strategic places, mainly in London and on the coasts of Wales and Scotland.

It was as if a huge dome had been erected around the country. Within this dome, castles would be built with magic and transformed into true magical fortresses of war, preventing the enemy's rapid advance if the first line of defense was breached.

The world was once again headed for chaos.
