The pine trees stood closely together, forming a dense forest that covered the valley. The pine needles did not shed even in winter, keeping the forest green as usual.

Ren and the others had been walking, searching for Shiruko's laboratory. However, since the tracker couldn't pinpoint the exact location, they had to search manually.

"Could it be that he built an underground lab? Even though visibility is limited here, a building should stand out if the lab is above ground," Ren said from atop a tree, trying to spot the lab from a height.

Hina furrowed her brow upon hearing Ren's suggestion. After a moment of thought, she said, "Yugao, can you emit a low-frequency sound to locate ventilation shafts leading underground?"

Yugao adjusted her throat and emitted a sound. Ren couldn't hear it, but his sixth sense felt the vibrations spreading.

After a few minutes, Yugao stopped. She rubbed her sore jaw.
