Mark knew that using his constitution too early would make him lose his advantage in this fight, so he had been saving the negation ability all this while, allowing Gunter to think his flames would always hit him. But now that Mark knew Gunter was already running low on mana and they were no longer in the forest that would allow Gunter to grab mana from the trees, Mark figured this was the right time to use the constitution.
