Chapter 42: The Icy Incident

"Is it necessary?" I heard Jules ask the photographer; her voice irritated, a frown marring her forehead as i small form stood in front of the towering man.

"Of course. People do it all the time," the photographer replied, waving his hands dismissively as if he wasn't asking me to walk on top of fake ice with my body drenched with water.

Jules didn't back down. "She could slip, or worse, get injured. This isn't safe. Just because Nyssa isn't here to regulate things, doesn't mean we can't stand our ground against you."

The photographer rolled his eyes, clearly losing patience. "She isn't even a top model. Why should she complain? Models do this kind of thing every day. If she can't handle it, maybe she's in the wrong profession."

Jules bristled at his words, her tone sharpening. "It's not about being a top model; it's about basic safety. You can't just treat people like they're disposable."
