"What are you doing, Valorborn? You'll die of Essence exhaustion if you do not attack. Or, are you afraid of attacking this great Damien?" Damien provoked Mordret. But there was no answer from Mordret. He just kept staring at the Tyrant with his sapphire eyes.

Damien became more and more restless. Wasn't Mordret supposed to move quickly? Why was the bastard standing still? Wasn't he worried about the Essence exhaustion? Damien had many questions, and slowly, the questions turned into doubts.

He looked at Maria and Karen, noticing how pale their faces were. Even a beast could understand that their reservoirs of essence were sucked dry.

Was Mordret trying to pull some weird trick? As he looked on the other hand, Mordret Valorborn stood calmly as if he still had plenty of essence left.

Would this turn into a battle of essence? Who would run out of essence first? Damien gulped nervously as a possibility collided with his mind.
