"The female needs some rest, so please avoid lingering around her room or the windows. Otherwise, I'll have to take action..." The healer spoke firmly, glaring at the snakes outside the door and windows. The snakes reluctantly slithered away when they heard him.
Kyra couldn't help but feel a shiver run down her spine. Being stared at by so many snakes was truly a nightmare, especially since they seemed to harbor romantic intentions towards her. Her mind conjured up images of snakes coiling their smooth, scaly bodies around her and attempting to kiss her with their snake-like heads.
"Nooo..." Kyra trembled. She needed to find Lucas quickly.
"Are you okay, female?" asked the old healer Amos, concerned. Kyra nodded.
"Thank you," Kyra said, surprising Old Healer Amos. Females rarely thanked males for helping them because they believed it was a male's duty to save them. Even though he was old, he was flustered and shook his head.
"Female, if you need anything, you can call me," he said as he walked out the door.
Finally left alone, Kyra breathed a sigh of relief. She got off the bed and looked around before heading towards the door. Seeing nobody around, she paused at the door for a moment. Everyone had already left, so she stepped outside.
Suddenly, she was forcefully pinned against the wall, a hand gripping her throat and lifting her off the ground. She struggled against the man who appeared before her, his eyes a deadly shade of red with slits.
"YOU MADE MY BROTHER CRY!" He roared.
Frustration welled up within Kyra as she closed her eyes, unable to comprehend what he was talking about.
"Why did you make him cry?" he growled, tightening his grip on her neck. Her vision blurred as black dots began to appear, and unable to bear it any longer, she mustered her strength and kicked him in the stomach.
Caught off guard by the unexpected retaliation from a female, he loosened his hold, his eyes brimming with anger. He forcefully grabbed her head and pushed her roughly against the wall.
"You've got some guts, female," he sneered. "Don't think I'm gentle with women." He started choking her.
Drawing closer, his breath mingled with hers as he whispered, "You've made a grave mistake, female."
However, his eyes widened when Kyra swiftly turned around and seized both of his arms, which were restraining her against the wall. She gripped his neck tightly as she jumped, using both her legs to deliver a powerful kick that sent him crashing to the floor. Unfazed, he glared at her with intense, dark eyes.
She straddled his stomach, locking both of his hands tightly as she leaned over and looked into his red eyes, taunting, "Seeing a woman weak and delicate all alone, do you want to kill her?"
However, Vincent's eyes shifted to her delicate face, her bluish-hazel eyes flaring with flames as she looked at him. Her long, red hair fell on his hard skin of stomach, making him feel ticklish. She was the most beautiful female he had ever seen.
As she leaned closer, he caught a clearer glimpse of her shapely bosom, partially exposed due to her torn clothing.
"Keep your eyes up, I'm right here," Kyra spoke in a stern tone, catching his inappropriate gaze.
"Who said I was looking at you?" Vincent spat, his legs transforming into a tail that snaked its way around her body, its smoothness encasing her. He could feel the softness beneath his tail, but he swiftly shook off such thoughts. This was the female who had the audacity to make his brother cry.
He began to apply pressure, and Kyra's expression changed as he taunted her. "Where's the fierce female who was taunting me?" he feigned, even pretending to search around.
A dark and dangerous smile played upon his lips as he raised her higher. Though she struggled against his grasp, Vincent relished in her resistance.
"BROTHER!" Suddenly, shouted his little brother.
"Toma, what's the matter? I'm seeking vengeance for you," Vincent's voice echoed magnetically as he roughly lowered Kyra to the ground.
Feeling a twinge of pain in her rear end, Kyra cursed as she opened her eyes and sat up, realizing that the little brother of this violent snake was the same one who had confessed his feelings to her earlier. Had he been crying due to her indirect rejection?
"No, brother, you actually dared to harm my future mate!" the little guy exclaimed as he sprinted towards her.
"Toma, she made you cry," Vincent frowned and spoke, and Toma shook his head and ran towards his princess.
Vincent speechlessly looked at the little guy who scolded him for an outsider. This female really had done some black magic on Toma, he thought, glaring at Kyra.
Seeing Vincent's frustrated expression, Kyra stood up to the same level as Toma and hugged him.
"Thank you, little prince, for coming to my rescue. Without you, this villain would have devoured me," she spoke in a gentle tone while casting a defiant glare at Vincent.
Vincent's expression changed. This woman dared to make him look like a villain in his little brother's eyes. He already wanted to kill her, but now he wanted to strangle her until that glare and smug expression were wiped off her face.
Toma's eyes widened, and he blushed as he stammered, "My princess, don't worry. Your hero will protect you," raising his tiny arms and hugging her tightly, oblivious to his dangerous brother's dark expression.
"Aww, thank you, little guy," she kissed his forehead, causing him to turn as red as a tomato. She stood up, and he took her by the hand, leading her back inside the room while offering her a serious lecture.
"You need to rest, female. There's no need for you to wander around. Look, you've sustained numerous injuries. If I hadn't arrived in time, my brother would have done you harm," he advised.
"Alright, alright," she nodded in agreement, admiring the cuteness of this little boy who lectured her like a miniature adult.
Meanwhile, Vincent looked at Kyra with a dark expression. She had dared to steal his little brother's attention.
'If it weren't for Toma, I would have already killed her,' he frowned and slithered upstairs. Once he got the chance, he would get rid of that female.
He didn't like it when his brother, who always paid attention to him, suddenly started liking someone else.
But halfway through, his nose twitched. "That wolf is still alive," he muttered, his eyes darkening.
