Chapter 223: Chapter 223: Surrender and A Dark Past

"Damn! What's going on? How is this Kryptonian so fierce? Even our boss was forced to retreat?!" When they saw the Panther God Bast retreating, the Gorilla God couldn't help but exclaim in surprise. Unlike other pantheons, the Wakandan pantheon didn't have a complete hierarchy of deities. They were all tribal faiths gathered together.

However, the Panther God Bast was the most powerful, making him the head of the Wakandan pantheon. But even so, the Wakandan pantheon was considered low-tier among the Earth's many pantheons, mainly because their followers weren't powerful enough.

Thus, only the Panther God Bast could barely be considered on the level of a Skyfather, according to Diana. Other deities like the Gorilla God, if placed in other pantheons, would at most hold a position of a chief deity, and the title of a lesser Skyfather was completely out of the question.

Clearly, Diana had underestimated Clark's power before she saw his true strength. She thought that being at the level of a lesser Skyfather was already quite impressive, but Clark turned out to be much stronger than she had imagined. This was also evident from how seriously the Ancient One took Clark during their time in Kamar-Taj...

"It shouldn't be, though. Kryptonians, despite being powerful in the universe and comparable to gods on certain planets, should still have some gaps compared to us. How could even our boss be forced to retreat?!" Watching their leader being pushed back in battle, the Crocodile God expressed his confusion. Why was this Kryptonian so powerful, especially considering he looked quite young?

"Maybe the boss has been out of serious action for too long and got careless?" the Lion God speculated with a frown, trying to comfort his companions.

"But then, if our boss really can't beat this Kryptonian, should we go help?" However, the Hyena God suddenly thought of something and looked at his companions with a probing gaze, only to see their displeased looks.

What a joke. Even the Panther God Bast, who is barely on the level of a Skyfather, isn't a match for Clark. What could they, who aren't even at the level of lesser Skyfathers, do by rushing in? To serve as cannon fodder? Better to just sit back and watch. If their boss really loses, they can think of something then. If not, just surrender and play dead...

Although the Wakandan pantheon is weak, its history is quite long, reflecting Wakanda's ancient faith that has developed to the present day.

In this process, the Wakandan pantheon isn't without its formidable adversaries. But they are all a group of animals turned into gods, inherently adhering to the natural law of survival of the fittest in the jungle. If an enemy truly proves stronger, they simply surrender!

If the gods of Wakanda were warriors who would rather die than submit, they wouldn't acknowledge the Panther God Bast as their boss. They would have perished in competition with the Panther God Bast long ago...

Meanwhile, the battle didn't stop because of the gods' astonishment. After Clark punched the Panther God Bast away, he realized he hadn't inflicted any substantial damage on the Panther God Bast. This excited Clark as he finally found an opponent who could directly withstand his strength.

The Martian Manhunter couldn't do it; if it weren't for his phasing ability, he would have been severely injured by Clark's punches and wouldn't have lasted so long.

"Hiss!" Seeing the Panther God Bast stabilizing his body, Clark instinctively unleashed a full-powered heat vision. Honestly, Clark was quite envious of Robert. At least Robert had a plethora of moves during battle, able to execute different Ki blasts for various effects. Clark, on the other hand, could only rely on a few techniques like heat vision or fists.

Even though Clark had made significant progress since Robert's awakening, he hadn't found a way to turn his energy into something like Robert's Ki blasts. It seemed such techniques weren't naturally suited for him.

But, while Ki blasts were out of the question, Clark did learn moves like Robert's explosive punch, which could propel the air with tremendous force, creating a powerful blast. However, Clark hadn't had much chance to use this technique...

"Roar!" Facing Clark's heat vision, the Panther God Bast let out a low roar, unleashing a powerful sonic force from his mouth that continuously interfered with the heat vision's trajectory, causing the normally straight beam to bend. Taking advantage of this, the Panther God Bast shifted his position, letting the heat vision hit the ground instead.

"Boom!" A cloud of dust passed, enveloping the Panther God Bast's figure, but Clark kept his gaze fixed on the Panther God Bast's location, unaffected by the dust.

The next moment, the Panther God Bast's counterattack began. Within the dust, the Panther God Bast's claws swept through the air. Clark hadn't used his explosive punch yet, but the Panther God Bast executed a similar technique! From Clark's perspective, he only saw the Panther God Bast swing his paw. Beyond that, Clark saw nothing, but then an invisible claw mark struck at Clark, causing no disturbance in the air and catching Clark off guard, tearing through... his clothes!

"Hmm?" After the claw mark's attack, Clark stepped back several times, then looked at his torn clothes with some displeasure. The next moment, Clark's figure vanished from its spot, and when he reappeared, he was already at the Panther God Bast's side, punching towards the Panther God Bast's body.

"Boom!" The Panther God Bast reacted quickly, blocking Clark's punch with his claw while opening his mouth wide to bite at Clark's head.

To say the least, since becoming a deity, the Panther God Bast rarely used such tactics against enemies, as it greatly undermined his dignity as a deity.

But facing such a formidable opponent as Clark, the Panther God Bast felt immense pressure. He no longer cared about losing face or dignity; defeating or withstanding Clark was his current priority.

"Whoosh!" Facing the Panther God Bast's gaping maw, Clark simply blew out a breath, his freezing breath passing over the Panther God Bast's head, instantly freezing his saliva and covering his teeth in frost.

At the same time, the Panther God Bast felt a chill in both his body and soul. His body erupted with divine power, a black panther's phantom emerging, his original power and the essence of the Wakandan faith's power refined into his most essential divine force! Only with such divine power could the Panther God Bast be considered part of Earth's pantheon. Those weaker, unable to refine such essential divine power, had long been utterly annihilated.

Although the Panther God Bast's divine power was even inferior to Diana's, it successfully helped him fend off Clark's freezing breath...

"Boom!" However, while the Panther God Bast blocked Clark's freezing breath, Clark's subsequent attacks didn't stop. Clark delivered a headbutt, striking the Panther God Bast's head, causing blood to flow and several teeth to fly out.

Honestly, Clark was more accustomed to using his fists against enemies and rarely used his legs. But after observing Robert's battles, Clark noticed that Robert often used headbutts when close to an enemy...

Thus, influenced by Robert, seeing the Panther God Bast's head in front of him, Clark couldn't help but launch himself forward, directly sending the Panther God Bast flying and stunning him on the spot.

The Panther God Bast had experienced many battles, even among the other Wakandan gods, they had settled their hierarchy through combat in the early days.

But even then, they weren't very strong. Their beastly duels primarily involved clawing and biting. Headbutting like this was something the Panther God Bast had never experienced; after all, who would headbutt a wild beast, risking getting swallowed whole?

Clearly, though, while the Panther God Bast remained that same panther, Clark was no sheep. After sending the Panther God Bast flying, Clark thought of Robert's combo moves, quickly followed up, and continued his assault on the Panther God Bast.

Of course, compared to Robert, who skillfully executed infinite combos in the air, Clark was still lacking. And while the Panther God Bast was at a disadvantage in the fight, he wasn't entirely without the ability to counter. Thus, Clark's first attempt to mimic Robert's aerial combo ended in failure...

But Clark's relentless attacks gradually overwhelmed the Panther God Bast, leaving him almost no chance to fight back and causing significant destruction to this dimensional space, essentially tearing down the house.

Compared to Clark's level of destruction now, Robert's act of blasting the Hell Lord's home with a Kamehameha wave seemed trivial. But faced with their home being demolished by Clark, neither the Panther God Bast nor the observing Gorilla Gods had any reaction.

The Panther God Bast was overwhelmed by Clark, completely losing his ability to resist, and the thought of surrendering began to emerge in his mind. And if their strongest leader thought this way, the Gorilla Gods were even more inclined to surrender, not wanting to taste Clark's iron fist.

Let the house be demolished, as long as Clark didn't wipe them all out in one fell swoop, they agreed to anything. It was, after all, possible to rebuild after demolition. The Hell Lord simply didn't understand the concept of out with the old, in with the new!

"Boom!" With a punch from Clark, he felt a great sense of relief, but at the cost of the Panther God Bast, who could now be called the Blood Panther God Bast, as he was covered in wounds, and his divine power dimmed...

"So strong. Even though he can't match the top Skyfathers, he's beyond any Skyfather that could potentially be defeated by a chief deity!" Lying on the ground, not wanting to get up, the Panther God Bast had a thought flash through his mind as his thoughts began to drift.

"How can there be such a powerful Kryptonian? If he existed in the era when gods were numerous, doesn't that mean he could establish a top-tier pantheon by himself? And it seems he doesn't even need to be constrained by the power of faith. This is terrifying. Are all Kryptonians this fearsome? Were those Kryptonians I heard about before false?"

"Just a moment!" As the Panther God Bast's thoughts drifted, he sensed a gust of wind approaching, snapping him back to reality. He had been scattered in thought by the beating and realized he was still in combat, with the threat from the terrifying Kryptonian not yet over.

"Wait! Wait a minute!" Thinking of this, the Panther God Bast quickly regained his senses and shouted at Clark, "I surrender!"

"There it is! The boss's surrender!"

"Always so decisive!"

"Yeah, just like when he surrendered to Zeus, Odin, so loudly and decisively!"

"Don't forget about the Buddha and the Jade Emperor. The boss surrendered even faster then!"

"That's right. After all, the boss is known as the weakest Skyfather. No one in this realm has been able to surpass the boss in that respect!"

The Gorilla Gods communicated telepathically again, recalling scenes they hadn't encountered since leaving the Earth's dimension. When gods from different dimensions kept to themselves, there was less interaction and naturally, fewer conflicts.

"Will the boss be teased?" the Hyena God asked cautiously, "I remember after the boss lost to the Egyptian Sun God Ra, he was treated as a subordinate for a long time, even becoming the Egyptian Cat God, gaining a portion of the Egyptian pantheon's divine power..."

The Hyena God had a deep impression of this event because their power differences weren't that significant at the time. The Panther God Bast didn't have absolute dominance, but after doubling as the Egyptian Cat God, his power surged, ultimately establishing him as the undisputed leader of the Wakandan pantheon.

"Shush!" The other gods quickly signaled the Hyena God to be quiet. This was an absolute dark history for the Panther God Bast, even more taboo than being defeated by Zeus and the others!

"Surrendered?" On the other side, Clark, standing over the Panther God Bast who had just surrendered, fell silent.
