Chapter 35: Water Source (2)

Blanche waved at Alice, "Alice, have you noticed that there are more things in the refrigerator?"

Alice pretended to tinker with a few items, flattening out the bulging meat, casually saying, "No, it's just this much. Maybe you remembered it wrong."

"No, my memory is excellent," Blanche insisted.

Blanche couldn't figure it out and finally accepted this explanation, "Maybe I was mistaken."

Alice, seeing that Blanche still had doubts, continued to tease, "It's easy to distinguish. If you just think there's more meat, you might have misjudged. But if you think everything has increased, it's memory disorder."

Blanche: "..."

She did feel that everything at home had increased. It seemed like she needed to go out and do something, creating a memory point for each day, so she wouldn't get confused in the future.

"It's fine, I'll go cook," Blanche stood up.

Alice secretly breathed a sigh of relief; luckily, she didn't give herself away.

Just as Alice was about to continue watching her show, she suddenly heard someone knocking on the iron door.

Then, Beryl's voice rang out, "Alexander, come out, I need to talk to you."

"Bang, bang, bang~"

The iron door shook loudly, and Beryl continued to shout, "I know you can hear me. If you don't come out now, I'll never forgive you in my life."

Alice frowned and put down her phone, walking out.

At the moment the door opened, Beryl's eyes lit up. She thought it was Alexander, but instead, she saw Alice's graceful figure.

Alice crossed her arms and looked at her, showing undisguised annoyance, "Why are you here again?"

"Alice, I want to see your second brother. Can you help me call him?" Beryl's eyes were filled with tears. During this time, without Alexander going to get supplies for her, she had become much thinner, looking even more fragile.

Alice walked down the stairs and stood behind the large iron door, looking at her with a cold smile. "Beryl, why are you so shameless? You caused the death of someone who deeply loved you in the previous life, and now you want to meddle with him again in this life. You just can't let him go."

Upon hearing this, Beryl's eyes widened in shock, and her lips trembled. "How... how do you know?"

Looking at the expressionless Alice, she was filled with disbelief and confusion. "Could it be that you are also...?"

She suddenly realized something and became excited. "Is that thing with you?"

Alice raised a delicate eyebrow, neither confirming nor denying.

Beryl, full of anger, shouted, "You knew it long ago! You deliberately played me. The bracelet Alexander brought last time was fake!"

Alice curved her lips into a smile, not responding. Everything was conveyed in silence.

Seemingly provoked by Alice, Beryl lost her rationality. She forcefully tried to squeeze through the iron bars. With her slender figure, she managed to get half of her body through and quickly grabbed Alice's collar, staring at her intensely. "

"Ridiculous. The bracelet belongs to our Allen family. How did it become yours? In the previous life, you managed to take it by chance, but in this life, the rightful owner has reclaimed it," Alice said indifferently. Her fair and slender fingers hooked onto Beryl's wrist, and with a swift and precise twist, the sound of bones cracking echoed.

"Ah!"

Beryl screamed in pain, cold sweat instantly forming on her forehead. Her face turned visibly pale at an alarming rate, and her once-beautiful hand hung limply.

Hearing the commotion, members of the Allen family rushed out, and Alexander, upon seeing Beryl, paused. However, his gaze quickly fell on Alice's clearly disturbed collar and the scratches on her fair neck. His anger flared up instantly.

This is their family's precious gem. From childhood to adulthood, they cherished her even if she lost a single strand of hair.

"Beryl, why are you here again? I've seen through your true colors and won't be deceived or used by you anymore," Alexander said.

Alexander had once thought that he might never forget Beryl in this lifetime. However, as he recalled his daily struggles to find supplies and water, he realized that he was too occupied to think about her. Emotions naturally faded away.

So, there's no such thing as an unforgettable and deeply engraved love.

Beryl gritted her teeth and unwillingly said, "Let Alice return the things to me, and I promise not to bother you again."

"It's a space used for storing things. It's invisible and untouchable..." Beryl explained eagerly and suddenly discovered something. She looked at the Allen family members mockingly and said, "She didn't even tell you about this. It seems she doesn't consider you as her family."

Arnold, with an expression of 'are you kidding me,' looked at her and said, "We are already a family. If you want to provoke, at least find a smarter reason."

"Let's go. There's no need to waste time on irrelevant people," Alexander said, completely oblivious to Beryl's hand. He pulled Alice away, asking with concern, "Did she hurt you elsewhere?"

Her biggest concern was Alexander before, and now that this 'obstacle' was gone, there was no need for her to hide anything. Since she was using this body, she would protect 'her' family well.

"What Beryl said is true. I have things stored, but you can't see or touch them," Alice said, gazing at them calmly.

Alexander's first reaction was a concerned question, "Alice, did you not get enough sleep today? Why don't you go back to sleep for a while."

Alice: "..."

She turned to the Atticus couple and Arnold, opting to demonstrate rather than explain!

Picking up an apple from the coffee table, she said, "I'll make it disappear now."

As soon as she finished speaking, the apple vanished from her hand.

The people sitting across from her all showed expressions of astonishment.

Alice continued, "Now I'll take something out from inside."

As they watched things materialize out of thin air, the family fell silent for a few seconds. "It's endless, and there's enough inside to feed our family for generations."

Arnold's eyes flickered, suddenly remembering something, "The medicine and gasoline you asked me to buy earlier..."

"They're all stored inside," Alice smirked, lightly parting her red lips. "So, you don't need to worry about supplies. To avoid unnecessary trouble, only our family can know this secret."

Nodding in agreement, they solemnly added, "Exactly, if outsiders find out, they might come rushing in to devour us."
