At this point, even Farhan could no longer remain calm. Despite his words of reassurance to keep Albert from worrying, his legs betrayed him as he paced back and forth restlessly, showing that he was just as anxious.

The father and son continued walking past each other nervously, occasionally muttering prayers to the gods under their breath. It was almost comical to watch—it resembled soldiers marching in formation. Luckily, it was just the two of them; if there had been more, it would have looked like a full military drill.

Fortunately, the sound of the baby’s cries could still be heard from the room, along with the voices of the maids and Raisa the physician, which slipped through the closed door, providing them some measure of relief.

“Waa... waa...”

“Waa... waa...”

Suddenly, the cry of another baby echoed from inside.
