Chapter 73: _ Demons and Secrets

A cruel smile played on his lips as he leaned closer. His voice was a chilling whisper. "Hello there," he purred.

He could feel his breath a cold caress against her ear. The woman flinched, her voice, a whimper. "W-who are you?"

Fergus chuckled. "Someone who appreciates a good show," he replied, his gaze lingering on her wide, terrified eyes. "And someone who doesn't like old women who think they are most righteous."

"Wait. Aren't you that… boy with the Omega?" Her eyes widened with realization as she swept her gaze over Fergus in Liam's form.

Fergus shrugged. The woman still didn't recognize that this aura didn't belong to a young wolf.

He forced a nonchalant shrug, hoping to dismiss her suspicion. The woman, however, wasn't easily fooled.

"You can't hide it," she rasped. "There's something… wrong with you."
