The two inevitably looked at each other deeply in order to gauge whether a life of martial binding with the other would be fine with them, especially the responsibility it entails. 

"I… am mostly okay with it, but I would like to spend more time thinking about it and getting to know Senior Brother Dalvin." Ling Long eventually made the decision first as she was decisive in all things. 

Dalvin was only a beat slower. "Sure, this woman… this Junior Sister… of mine is exceedingly beautiful and strong, much to my liking. I wouldn't mind being married to her, but what kind of ceremony would it be?" 

Hearing Dalvin's answer, Ling Long gave him the side eye. Wasn't he the same one who said there were millions of others like her? Why was he saying that she was to his liking because she was attractive and powerful now?
