Chapter 110: Aftermath

"Arlen! Arlen!" Someone was calling him. "Arlen, I…" He struggled to hear what the person was saying but the words were muffled, like a candlelight in a windy room, gradually dying out.

Arlen slowly opened his eyes, there was a faint light in the corner but the rest of the lights were turned off. He still felt groggy and tried to sit up, but his right hand was connected to an IV bag, the medicine dropping down the tube one drop at a time.

The Memories of last night soon filled his head and his ears turned red in embarrassment. He had been so foolish. If his family ever heard how he handled yesterday night, they might just disown him. No strategy, no thought, the only thing on his mind was that he did not want the woman to die in front of him.
