Chapter 78: In The Shape of Darkness

Not even the road could save Levi from teacher Scarlet. She got bored pretty quickly of the sameness of the outside world, and needed something else to keep her busy.

When Levi saw how tired the two were he offered to keep her occupied, he needed to learn some more of their language, he was almost there he didn't want it to slip.

As strict and attitude filled as Scarlet was she was quite the teacher. It seemed Lucy didn't play around when it came to their daughter's education.

Of course Levi occasionally went out to take care of the lurking dangers. The road was certainly unsafe especially for those who didn't have guards protecting their carriage.

Bandits had claimed these parts as their own, if a carriage needed to pass by their lands they needed to pay for safety passage those who refused never lived to tell the tale.
