Chapter 59: Plans to Leave

They seemed to be seriously considering his offer. Scarlet was still far too young to be taken from the world, but these were people with a conscience.

"No, that's alright. That wouldn't solve the problem it would only bring more scrutiny around here. Scotty isn't a nobody." She reasoned.

"Fine then, it's your home I won't overstep." He shrugged.

And he meant to keep his word, though it would be ideal if Scotty was dumb enough to attack him which would give him an excuse to nip the problem in the bud.

He'd met many like the young man and it was always the same with them, they either had control or everything else should burn to the ground.

But he was a guest here, he wouldn't dare go against the people who took him in and weren't scared half to death that he was a demon.

He trusted that they knew what they were doing, he was still very much a newcomer into this world.
