Chapter 48: The Price For A Life

The next morning didn't bring them any kind of peace but they acted like they always did. Made breakfast and went out to work the fields, they weren't going to work themselves.

Tax day was already near, this time was very pivotal their last year was really terrible they barely scraped by. They needed to guard against birds, worms and bugs. They would only relax after harvest day.

Even their five year old was out in the fields. They left their guest to rest, there was definitely something in the air but they weren't sure how to tackle it.

They'd taken in something dangerous, now it was too late to do anything about it. They only hoped he wasn't too dangerous.

Back at the house their guest was waking up.

"Ahhh, what happened..." Levi groaned getting up from a strange bed and in a strange room.
