The smile on Caleb's face was more than a little deceptive. There was a big part of him that wanted Lucien to go bat shit crazy and tear apart everyone in this building, but there was another part that warned him that he would be caught in the same trap.

Adaline would never forgive Lucien if he hurt anyone under her protection, even if it was one of her fated mates. On the other hand, she wouldn't forgive Caleb if he allowed it either.
