Chapter 177: Harvest

Disciple Might Guy diligently completed the commissioned task, gaining growth rewards Chakra +300. Additional rewards led by Sensei himself Chakra +150.

Disciple Uchiha Obito diligently completed the commissioned task, gaining growth rewards Chakra +300. Additional rewards led by Sensei himself Chakra +150.

Disciple Hatake Kakashi diligently completed the commissioned task, gaining growth rewards Chakra +300. Additional rewards led by Sensei himself Chakra +150.

The total reward for the three disciples is one thousand three hundred fifty points of Chakra.

Although there are no additional rewards like Ninjutsu, this amount of Chakra is quite good.

Of course, if only the amount of Chakra gained is considered, the profit from crazily doing D-Rank Missions would be even higher.

By doing ten D-Rank Missions a day, Mutsuki earns four hundred fifty points of Chakra, which can surpass the earnings from this A-Rank Mission in three days.

However, there are some issues with doing D-Rank Missions. Firstly, students don't gain much improvement; it's purely doing tasks for the sake of it, and Konoha doesn't allocate that many D-Rank Missions for them to do.

On the other hand, this A-Rank Mission allows for physical training while traveling, various practices during stops, and gaining combat experience from encountering ninja battles, stimulating growth. Overall, it's more conducive to students' strength development.

Mutsuki glanced at his current status panel.

[Name: Mutsuki Yumi]

[Chakra: 33200]

Chakra growth is good, and he's getting closer to his goal of fifty thousand Chakra.

Mutsuki didn't return home but went straight to the Minato household.

Mutsuki was lucky; Minato was not accompanying Kushina at the moment nor was he on a mission, but rather at home reading.

Seeing Mutsuki, Minato remembered the Sealing Jutsu scroll and handed it over to him.

Mutsuki didn't just take the scroll and leave; instead, he chatted with Minato for a while.

"Minato, if you're going on missions abroad recently, you should be careful. You might encounter attacks from Hidden Cloud Village ninjas," Mutsuki warned seriously.

Then Mutsuki recounted his own mission experience to Minato, repeating what Sarutobi Hiruzen had said.

This mission wasn't classified as covert, so there was no need for secrecy.

"Something like that happened?" Minato's expression also became serious.

This was no small matter; if Konoha really thought their ninjas were being targeted by Iwagakure, Konoha would definitely actively deploy more ninja to join the war with Iwagakure, making the conflict even more intense.

Mutsuki's experience in this mission also made Minato reassess Mutsuki's strength.

Previously, because Mutsuki was a Chunin sensei at the Academy, although he later became a Special Jonin, it was also due to his outstanding teaching ability that he became a Special Jonin. In Minato's impression, Mutsuki's strength was at the Chunin level.

Judging by the results of this mission, Mutsuki's strength may not be weak. His previous failure to promote to Jonin may have been due to insufficient merit or other aspects not meeting the requirements.

Mutsuki's strength doesn't affect Minato and Mutsuki's friendship, but Minato still hopes his friend is stronger because it's wartime, and anything can happen. Weakness can easily lead to trouble.

"I'll be careful. Mutsuki, you be careful too. Try not to take missions related to the Land of Grass or the Land of Hot Water," Minato replied seriously.

These two small countries are the locations where Konoha, Iwagakure, and Hidden Cloud clash. With the war progressing, they become increasingly dangerous.

Mutsuki smiled, nodded, and left. He currently didn't plan to go to such dangerous places; hanging around the vicinity was fine.

Mutsuki had a clear understanding of himself. At the moment, his output limit wasn't low, but he wasn't very enduring. He could fight a Jonin like he fights his son, but facing formidable opponents like the Third Tsuchikage or Third Raikage, he could only resort to running away with Thunder Breathing.

The Chakra limit is one issue, and a significant problem is the speed of Chakra recovery.

Mutsuki's Chakra recovery speed doesn't match his Chakra limit.

Mutsuki is aware of the reason for this because his Chakra limit was increased by the system through unknown means, which is different from normal training.

At this point, Mutsuki's Chakra amount is already more than five times that of an average Jonin, but his Chakra recovery speed is at best slightly better than that of an average Jonin, mainly due to his continuous training with Breathing Techniques.

This results in Mutsuki being at a disadvantage in prolonged battles. While everyone's Chakra is depleted at a similar rate during intense fighting, Mutsuki's recovery effectiveness is not as good as others'.

Of course, this problem is relatively minor compared to the Chakra limit issue because such situations occur less frequently in combat, and having a higher limit is more important.

However, it's still a flaw, and Mutsuki wants to address it successfully. He has thought of several methods.

For example, following Tsunade's approach, he could develop a Sealing Jutsu to store Chakra. When Chakra is insufficient, he could release the stored Chakra, although it's not a fundamental solution, it's still a good option. Another similar idea is to capture a Tailed Beast and use it as a power bank by storing it inside the body, but his current strength doesn't allow for that.

If Mutsuki were to address the root cause, he could think of changing his physique, possessing either Senju or Uzumaki physiology, which would eliminate worries about endurance with their Sage's body.

However, altering one's physique is exceedingly difficult. Hashirama's cells are prone to overpowering one's own, and obtaining Senju or Uzumaki disciples through the system is also challenging, especially since there are no disciple slots left.

Currently, Mutsuki is striving towards a temporary solution because he happens to possess genius-level talent in Sealing Jutsu.

Back at home, Mutsuki began examining the scroll's contents.

What surprised Mutsuki was Sarutobi Hiruzen's unusually generous gesture, giving three ninjutsu in one go.

However, it wasn't three Sealing Jutsu; one of them was a Wind Release ninjutsu. Sarutobi Hiruzen explained the reason for this: the Wind Release ninjutsu was unrelated to Mutsuki's performance at the Academy but was awarded due to the special training Asuma received because of Mutsuki's upbringing.

"Vacuum Sphere, another advanced Wind Release jutsu that I can use openly in the future," Mutsuki thought as he looked at the name of the ninjutsu.

After all, it was a freebie. Even if he already knew it, Mutsuki felt like he gained something.

Mutsuki ignored the Vacuum Sphere, which he had already learned, and looked at the remaining two Sealing Jutsu.

"Fire Sealing Method, Evil Sealing Method," Mutsuki repeated the names of the two Sealing Jutsu, recalling some memories.

He remembered the Evil Sealing Method as the Sealing Jutsu Kakashi used to seal the Cursed Seal on Sasuke's body. As for the Fire Sealing Method, Mutsuki could infer its type of Sealing Jutsu based on its name.

Most of Konoha's Sealing Jutsu are derived from the Uzumaki Clan, and Mutsuki's knowledge of Sealing Jutsu comes from Kushina. It could be said that he learned the purest Konoha Sealing Jutsu. After examining these two B-rank Sealing Jutsu for a while, Mutsuki almost grasped their principles.

The Evil Sealing Method essentially isolates Chakra that doesn't belong to the original body, making it a sealing Ninjutsu for Chakra.

The Fire Sealing Method is a bit different. It doesn't seal Chakra but can seal the flames generated after Chakra Nature Transformation.

Before he crossed over, Mutsuki occasionally wondered while watching anime why no one sealed Ninjutsu into scrolls and then used them as Ninjutsu.

After learning Sealing Jutsu, he understood the difficulty of this operation. For example, if you use the Fire Sealing Method to seal a Great Fireball, what you release isn't a moving Great Fireball but a stationary flame. It's meaningless in actual combat.

However, there are Sealing Jutsu that can seal Ninjutsu and then release them, such as the Uchiha's Transcription Seal. Itachi stuffed Amaterasu into Sasuke's eyes, and Uchiha Madara sealed Izanagi's resurrection into his own eyes.

Based on his current knowledge of Sealing Jutsu, Mutsuki concludes that this ability should be unique to the Sharingan. It can seal Dojutsu within the Sharingan, unrelated to ordinary ninja.

Although neither of these Sealing Jutsu is particularly top-notch, Mutsuki is still satisfied. He can use these two Sealing Jutsu to gain more practical knowledge of Sealing Jutsu.

Refining the isolation Chakra effect of the Evil Sealing Method proved helpful in addressing his Chakra deficiency issue. The Yin Seal's form of sealing Chakra essentially isolates Chakra as well.

In the following days, Mutsuki mostly spent his time studying Sealing Jutsu until late at night.

He began with learning the Evil Sealing Method, aiming to quickly grasp the sealing technique that isolates Chakra.

Mutsuki had been studying Sealing Jutsu for nearly eight months and was no longer a novice. After just two hours of study, his proficiency in the Evil Sealing Method reached fifty.

He wasn't planning to use a Skilled scroll; Sealing Jutsu at this level wasn't worth it for him, especially compared to the Four Symbols Seal.

Mutsuki figured that if he wanted to learn the Four Symbols Seal, he would have to rely on Minato and Kushina; Sarutobi Hiruzen might be reluctant to provide it.

The Four Symbols Seal is a stronger Sealing Jutsu than the Five Elements Seal. Konoha sealed the Nine-Tails using the Four Symbols Seal. Within the Uzumaki Sealing Jutsu system, the Four Symbols Seal belongs to the top tier.

Sealing Jutsu stronger than the Four Symbols Seal either have limitations, such as the Adamantine Sealing Chains, which only Uzumaki Clan members can use, or they come with a great cost, like the Dead Demon Consuming Seal requiring the death of the caster.

Before going to sleep, Mutsuki reviewed the experience gained from the recent mission outside the village.

His strength was more formidable than he had imagined. Even facing an Elite Jonin with twenty thousand Chakra, Mutsuki could effortlessly defeat him.

In that battle, Mutsuki actually held back a lot. If he wished, he could activate Thunder Breathing Mark and instantly kill everyone, thanks to the speed unleashed by Thunder Breathing.

However, to hone his combat abilities, he chose not to do so.

Perhaps due to the Byakugan and Transparent World, despite engaging in combat for the first time, Mutsuki felt no nervousness. He also didn't feel much after taking a life.

"The enemy's strength was too weak; doubling my Chakra would suffice," Mutsuki thought to himself.

Although he claimed to be honing his combat abilities, in reality, there wasn't much improvement because the gap in strength was too significant.

"If we disregard Chakra recovery levels, my current strength should be comparable to Minato and the Fourth Raikage," Mutsuki speculated inwardly.

Mutsuki was somewhat eager to fight ninjas at the level of Minato and the Fourth Raikage. However, it wasn't a good idea to reveal himself to Minato at the moment, and the Fourth Raikage was the son of the Third Raikage, so he wouldn't likely go alone. Encountering him would be quite troublesome.
