Chapter 71: Making Headway

When Sakari called this place the "stables," he had assumed that it was a joke or a quirk developed by the people of the Aldark after so long away from "normal" people.

But the Phylactery stables were, in fact, stables.

The stone room was about six meters wide, and so long his Domain couldn't see the end of it. On either side of him were stalls made of a reddish-brown wood, within which were easily the most grotesque things Lokus had ever laid eyes… er, Domain, on.

Some part of Lokus couldn't help but think that the guard lady from the portal room had been exaggerating when she described the fate of Phylacteries, but now he knew how wrong he had been.
