Chapter 230: Chapter 230: Survivors of Ohara

About half an hour later.

Adrian was in Tommy's office when he met "Doctor Moy" again, someone he had encountered once before in the Drum Kingdom.

This doctor was the same person who, after mistakenly eating the Paramecia-type Bandage Fruit, was misunderstood as a terrifying monster by ignorant townsfolk, and consequently targeted for elimination by the Drum Kingdom's authorities.

It had been a long time since they last met, but Doctor Moy was still dressed the same way as when they parted at the Drum Island dock.

Clad in a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants, black leather boots, and a black cloak, almost his entire body was black. Only his face and hands, wrapped tightly in white bandages, were exposed, with just his eyes visible.

Seeing Adrian, Doctor Moy seemed a bit emotional, greeting him in a hoarse and dry voice.

"Y-your Ex-excellency, it's b-been a l-long time."

Adrian glanced at Doctor Moy calmly.

"Long time no see."

It seemed the social anxiety trauma that Doctor Moy developed previously had not improved at all. In fact, it appeared to have worsened, as he had not stuttered this badly before.

Doctor Moy attempted to say something more, "Y-you Ex-excel..."

Adrian, feeling a headache coming on, had to interrupt him with a raised hand.

"Doctor Moy, I'll speak, you listen. Is that alright?"

At that moment, several slender white bandages suddenly emerged from Doctor Moy's body, quickly forming the words "No problem" in the air.

Adrian blinked in surprise.

A live intelligence, fully automated subtitle display?

Putting aside his astonishment, Adrian slowly said, "It seems Doctor Moy has been training his Bandage Fruit abilities well during this period. Your skills seem to have improved a lot."

Doctor Moy displayed, "Yes. When I first arrived in the West Blue, the Razor Gang had a lot of injured members almost daily. While treating their injuries, my abilities unknowingly improved a lot. Of course, the situation improved significantly after those immortal drifters joined the Razor Gang en masse because they seem not to get injured at all. Their body structure is very peculiar; I originally wanted to dissect one..."

Adrian quickly raised his hand to stop him.

He never expected that after changing his way of communication, Doctor Moy would transform into a cold, emotionless typing machine, producing such a long string of words in the blink of an eye.

What was this?

An extroverted social anxiety sufferer?

The telepathic typing ability was quite enviable, and the accuracy was impressively high.

"Doctor Moy, I asked Tommy to invite you here because I need your help with something."

Abandoning the idea of small talk, Adrian got straight to business.

"I have a group of civilians who have fallen into a long sleep. I need you to check their physical condition."

For players with panels and fully data-driven bodies, falling into a prolonged sleep after being hit by the Dream ghost would only result in losing stamina and health points. They could just respawn if they died.

But for ordinary Ohara residents, who were real flesh and blood, prolonged sleep without food or drink could seriously affect their health.

This was why Adrian had Tommy invite Doctor Moy. The doctor, whom Adrian had personally rescued from the Drum Kingdom, was much more trustworthy than any unfamiliar doctor.

Doctor Moy displayed, "I never thought I could help you, this is wonderful!"

Adrian had Rumi use her abilities to transport Doctor Moy into the stronghold, while Adrian himself followed.

The Ohara residents were placed in a specially isolated area within the castle space, a privilege of the Castle fruit user.

Looking at the deeply sleeping Ohara residents in the room, Doctor Moy asked, "These are the people who need to be examined?"

"Yes, Doctor Moy, I'll leave this to you. I have some other matters to do."

Adrian nodded, silently leaving a transparent ghost in the room, then departed the space housing the Ohara residents and went to another room designated for the scholars.

After some thought, Adrian used his abilities to awaken Dr. Clover, Mrs. Penelope, and the Nico mother and daughter.

"Adrian," Dr. Clover frowned, massaging his temples as he recalled, "Is this your special castle space?"

"Yes, Dr. Clover," Adrian said succinctly. "I woke you up to explain a few things."

The others silently looked at Adrian.

"First, Dr. Clover, I have unfortunate news," Adrian said solemnly. "Ohara has been completely destroyed by the Buster Call." {You don't have any shame, do you?}

Dr. Clover let out a long sigh. "I understand."

Adrian explained, "For the World Government, destroying Ohara was their primary goal. If they failed, they would scour the seas to hunt down every Ohara 'survivor.'"

"I'm aware of that." Dr. Clover nodded. "You've worked hard, Adrian."

"Secondly, I plan to relocate Ohara's survivors to the North Blue through my own channels."

"The North Blue…" Dr. Clover pondered for a moment, quickly understanding Adrian's intentions.

"By the way, Dr. Clover, I have another question." Adrian asked, "Regardless, the scholars should not continue living with the civilians. Have you considered an alternative?"

"An alternative?" Dr. Clover gave a bitter smile. "Researching forbidden history leaves no room for alternatives!"

Adrian asked, "Then where can Ohara's scholars go?"

After a long silence, Dr. Clover said, "Perhaps the little sky island is the last suitable place for scholars."

"Sigh, it's we scholars who want to uncover history, yet the innocent civilians suffer," Dr. Clover said despondently. "I have no face to confront them now…"

Adrian didn't intend to comfort Dr. Clover's despondent words.

As Dr. Clover himself admitted, Ohara's suffering was ultimately the fault of the scholars.

Even though their goal was to reveal the lost history to the world, they should have been more protective and secretive.

Adrian then turned to the Nico mother and daughter.

"Now, it's your turn, Mrs. Nico and little Robin." Adrian spoke slowly, "Ohara is now history. What do you two plan to do?"

Robin looked conflictedly at Adrian, then at her mother.

Nico Olvia firmly stated, "I greatly appreciate your help with Ohara, but I won't give up pursuing history!"

"Mom!" Robin exclaimed anxiously.

Nico Olvia looked down at Robin with an apologetic and pained expression, "I'm sorry, Robin."

Mrs. Penelope, standing nearby, looked at Robin with a pained expression. During their time together, she had come to see this clever girl as her own.

But as Robin's biological mother, Nico Olvia's own wishes took precedence, and Mrs. Penelope refrained from intervening.

Adrian shook his head slightly, not intending to meddle in their family affairs.

He then turned to Mrs. Penelope and asked gently, "Madam, what are your plans?"

"Me?" Mrs. Penelope shifted her gaze from Robin, speaking calmly, "Perona is still young. I just want a period of peace."

Adrian concluded decisively, "Then let's go to the sky island above!"
