Chapter 5: darkness and light
This process took 3 days and now knowing the formed essence completely merged with his spiritual root he unsealed his spiritual root but found no reaction that puzzled him before figuring out anything a storm started to engulf his whole body where his body was sucking in an enormous amount of qi which his meridians couldn't handle.
Followed by a reconstruction of his whole body from his hair to his toes. Those who look from the outside would have been astonished by this because a violet cocoon was made from pure qi.
Inside Ken was screaming at the top of his lungs but after some time that wasn't even possible and his body shut down immediately because his brain wanted to protect itself from the overloaded stimulus it was experiencing and like that he went on for two weeks.
This brings us to the current time when ken started to wake up from his long slumber and looked around him to find two shriveled corpses devoid of any qi in the cave. Even the cave which had dark stones have become pale grey.
Ken first wanted to check his spiritual root but when tried to sense it he was bewildered because his whole cultivation was gone and he couldn't even feel any qi inside him which alarmed him.
Alarmed by this he tried to cultivate shadow might art he knew and found he could cultivate and he was astonished by the speed his body sucked the qi around him but all wasn't good because he felt more uncomfortable the more he cultivated.
So he stopped his cultivation to start examining with the little qi he had first examined his spiritual root which had transformed from an ocean on his neck to a milky dark violet long river that went from his brain to his sacrum (lower back) along his spinal cord to connect to his Dantian which now had light violet color.
He scattered his cultivation to start anew with a cultivation which fit him and he wasn't sad because his momentary cultivation didn't give him major benefits.
What he didn't know was his transformation wasn't over because he hadn't eaten any food in the past two weeks and a half. In his former self could have lasted for a week without food but he stretched that time double without food so he needed new sustenance.
"Ghreeee"
His body didn't lie and gave a call to Ken to get his ass to a restaurant. Ken was delighted as got up from his meditative position with numb legs and went out of the cave and saw a beautiful view of a sunset which took his breath away.
Ken was mesmerized by the view and more puzzled as to why he hadn't noticed it before started to realize was his whole life he had been living in desperation where he saw the dark side of the world constantly which made his outlook on the world stale.
But now he knew he had a chance of carving his path in this world and left his old world behind to see a new one where the darkness didn't dominate but coexisted with the lightness of the world to make one hell of a sight.
He wanted to enjoy this site till sundown while contemplating his life from his time in the orphanage and the tutoring of the director to the training facility where they pinned the children to fight for resources with all they had which led to the extortion, torture, and much more which could break normal people to his job all led him to the darkness in life.
he unlike others didn't see himself as a good person who was led in the wrong path but a man who had to adapt to the world he found himself in. he knew that doing what he did was necessary to get where he was.
He did it with a goal in mind he unlike most others who gave into the darkness of life didn't self-pity but changed his circumstances and broke out of his shackles to see the real world.
What he saw was the current site and mental peace like there was nothing else he should be doing and found his place. As he was deep in his contemplation the almighty stomach roared in protest which brought him back.
Ken didn't realize that his stomach saved him from a pitfall many ended up experiencing enlightenment before they started their cultivation path because they didn't have the mental or spiritual strength to not be lost in the vast information the heavens opened up to lure them away from cultivation.
This kind of enlightenment is very rare and special because usually, these kinds of people are those who go on to form their perspective of the world and create new never-seen paths for themself.
But this happens to those who overcome what was taught to be impossible by the masses and see the world from another perspective kind of like seeing the world with two different eyes.
Ironically this is seen mostly in rogue cultivators that had no guidance on enlightenment and failed the test heavens put for the information it provided so for something like this to happen to Ken was a big win.
Ken dusted himself off and put a hood on so that no one could see him and went to the reception at the foot of the mountain to pay for his stay in the immortal cave.
When the receptionist saw him she recognized him by the black hood he was wearing and summed up his total cost which came down to 17 Qi stone which was a lot for him and took half of his saved money for his journey to the yin-yang sect but paid non the less.
Ken didn't a goodbye to the polite receptionist when turned and ran for the nearby city in search of a restaurant and after twenty minutes of constant running found a place.
As he entered the inn the hood he was wearing made him stand out like a sore thumb but he didn't care he quickly orders a rabbit beast soap (his favorite) and other food that could feed a family for a day without blinking an eye.
The waiter was amazed seeing this because he could see the hooded figure was just a mortal so he began to wonder if he could finish it.
The waiter realized that this could be a great way to advertise the inn and offered a challenge to ken.
"Dear customer I see that you are ordering a lot of food and they cost a pretty penny so instead of that if take the challenge of finishing boar jumbo dish with 30 minutes you won't have to pay for it, But if you can't finish it you have to pay 3 qi stones.
