"Well, kid we live in the mortal realm which is the lowest of realms and those cultivators come from much richer worlds are from in the celestial realm.

Hong Meng didn't have his usual face but had a face of a drug junky that got his fix. After digesting this info started to think about the cultivation as a whole.
From his deduction, he failed to meet their criteria and if he fit them he would have been taken by his guess his parent's affiliated sect but that caused his next question didn't that mean this sect was formed for those who would descend by previous descents?
So this sect was just a puppet for greater power, the more he thought the more convincing the argument became but he couldn't say this ludicrous theory out loud or he would become a laughing stock from people who knew the power of cultivators.

After a long pause, the director continued "There are countless other abandoned breeds of which small number that could cultivate and we buy those that could raise in hopes of some return.
Which brings me to you. You like others here can cultivate but partially, let's clarify it a bit further as you know cultivation is about the spirit, mind, and body and to start cultivation you first have to have a true Dantian which you have followed by the spiritual root and soul sea.
For the spiritual root and Soul Sea it is complicated but to put it simply the first three big stages of cultivation are called foundation establishment. Which are body refining, spirit condensation and soul shearing.
If you have only have true Dantian you can cultivate up to the peak of body refining but you have void spiritual root which is different from false spiritual root.
I don't know the details but they say void spiritual root like a pure water that can accept any qi but the downside is that it can't convert pure qi into any other qi so that it can't be stored in you your Dantian as your qi.
I can't confirm if you have a soul sea or not but you probably have it because one of your parents must be a soul cultivator for you to develop like this.
The chance I am about give you is kid so think well before you answer. I know you value your freedom the most so I will let you join an organization that will give you a body refining technique in exchange for two years of servitude."
Hong meng already had an answer so he immediately agreed but he asked what he will do.
The answer was "don't ask me kid I am only the recruiter."
After some discussion about his upcoming life hong meng went to bed.
The next morning after packing his cloths hong meng went with the director to old man standing entrance of the orphanage after some greetings hong meng was to go ahead and follow the old man.
After the old man put some distance from hong meng he started to speak to the director "this firefly doesn't look good as the ones you sent as before I hope you are not losing your touch."
The director only faintly smiled "the ones I have been sending were only fireflies but this one is more. I think he is the most that got out of me than other if not for his body condition he would have become one of those monsters.
He might not have the body but his mind is sharp he isn't suited for your division after the training exchange him to the ears they will value him more."
The old man was surprised the director taught highly of this kid, but he knew the director has more experience in this kind of things so he took his suggestion and guided him to a valley where the training facility is located to begin his with people like him for a year.
