"T—Thank you, Kate…" Madeline murmured, unable to hide her smile. She was glad that Lance's family accepted her even with many scandals she had in the showbiz. 

"Okay, since you're ready, I will call the bridesmaids and the servants to help you with the dress," Chloe said, before waltzing out of the room to gather the rest of the entourage.

"I suppose it's time for me to join my husband too," Kate said, smiling at Madeline. "Don't be nervous, Madeline."

"Yeah, because if you look nervous, my brother will get nervous too," Lily giggled. "Oh, you should see his expression right now. He looks like he's about to fight a tiger."

Madeline laughed with Lily because she knew it was true.

Lance had been acting cool for a whole week, but Madeline, who understood him inside out, knew he was the most nervous one there.

"I'll be seeing you in the garden then," Madeline said to Kate and Lily before they left.
