Chapter 842: Chapter 576: Fully Stitched (Bottom) _2

"Wake up, they don't exist, they are your illusions." Schiller continued to tap on the bed rail.

"I fought it for a long time, I punched it several times, it punched me too, it tried to strangle me from behind, covering my mouth, but I broke free, I slashed its body with a knife, but it recovered very quickly..."

"Finally, I realized that I might not be able to defeat it." Anjiele said quietly and despairingly, "It penetrated my body, tried to control me to kill Berenna, I only had one method left to stop it...."

"If it wants to coexist with me, then I will kill myself, then it will die too, at least Berenna will be safe...."

After saying all of this, Anjiele started losing all her strength, her voice dimmed until she closed her eyes, laid down on the bed, and her breathing gradually became longer, and she gradually fell into a deep sleep.

"So, she really has gone mad?" Gordon asked as he gazed at Anjiele's face.

"If we're only considering the symptoms she mentioned, it indeed seems like a mental issue caused all of this. However, there's a loophole, which is her incorrect feelings of jealousy towards Berenna."

"Generally speaking, emotions that can cause mental issues are internal, such as excessive self-consciousness, inferiority, sadness, feeling dispensable, not being accepted by society and so on..."

"However, anger, jealousy, hatred, emotions like these rarely cause such severe mental issues. Explosive emotions, once unleashed, tend not to accumulate inside and cause so many issues."

"Like when patients confess their feelings during therapy sessions, most of them tend to talk more about themselves, sharing their sadness and helplessness. Very few people accuse others in anger. They lack these intense emotions because they simply do not have the strength for explosive emotions."

"So you mean they don't even have the strength to feel hatred anymore?" Gordon asked.

"Exactly, they can't express a range of emotions like normal people; emotional issues are also a form of manifestation of mental issues. If their joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure were the same as ordinary people, they wouldn't have such serious illnesses."

"Among all explosive emotions, jealousy should not cause such severe mental issues. At most, it might trigger anxiety, but it's hardly the main cause."

"What do you think is the real issue?" Gordon asked.

"There could be many abnormal causes, but in most cases, it's caused by external stimulation. I suspect somebody intentionally guided and amplified these emotions."

"Is there such a method?" Gordon queried.

"Of course. Normal psychologists can also do it, it's just a bit troublesome, but for the top people in this field, it's a piece of cake."

Gordon's gaze at Schiller gradually changed, but Schiller seemed to not care. He just stared at Anjiele's face, seemed to be contemplating something. At this moment, Anjiele suddenly sat up from the bed.

"Berenna! I am going to kill you!!!! Berenna...."

She started to yell wildly, struggling to sit up from the bed, her face pale, looking like a hobgoblin crawled out from hell.

Gordon quickly held her down, but the power of a patient in a state of euphoria and without muscle restraint is unimaginable for ordinary people. Gordon could hardly hold Anjiele down until Schiller took out his umbrella, swung it and hit Anjiele's head with a loud "thud", knocking her out.

Schiller stood up and told Gordon, "Chief Gordon, please go back to the police station. Leave her to me, I will thoroughly investigate her mental issues."

After Gordon had left, Schiller's facial expression darkened. If the previous case merely made him a little angry for disrupting his daily routine, and because the culprit had caused a power outage in Gotham University just to commit a murder, which affected his office lighting and disrupted Schiller's work.

But now, he was genuinely angry. Of course, it wasn't because he thought it was wrong to control others' minds. Schiller was not some superhero. He did not see his abilities as something just. He took his abilities as tools.

Yet the opponent also held the same tools, invaded his territory, and was blatantly showing off. It was a provocation.

People tend to be more hostile to those who are quite similar to them. It is the same among antisocial psychopaths.

Schiller leaned back in his chair and took out a bottle of wine. He did not open the seal, but the scent of the wine was enough to lull anyone into a dream.

Once he entered his Thought Palace, Schiller heard a wave of chaotic noise coming from downstairs. He saw another Schiller in a white coat running up in a hurry, informing him, "Hurry! Go down and stop that green-haired lunatic. He's going crazy again!"

Schiller raised his eyebrows and headed downstairs with his umbrella. Sure enough, he saw a green-haired figure stomping on the corridor floor, mumbling, "Again... it's happening again.... another one...."

Schiller furrowed his brows. Just then, he felt a knock at the gates of his Thought Palace. Upon opening the door, he saw Joker Jack outside.

Jack, with a gloomy face, strode into Schiller's Thought Palace, then turned around and shouted:

"Another clown is here! Where did this hillbilly come from?! He dares to confront Batman! Oh, that damned betrayer, how much more does he want to hurt me before he gives up?!"

"One after another! How many does he need to satisfy himself?? I want to kill him...slice him into pieces...No! No! I'm referring to that damned clown, not Batman! How could I ever think about killing Batman?"

However, Schiller didn't watch his performance. He turned around and walked out of the gates of his Thought Palace. After a while, Joker Schiller also came downstairs. He and Jack stood shoulder to shoulder, staring at the door.

This enormous door, which is always left slightly ajar, was now completely opened. A massive ship's bow appeared, with Schiller standing on it saying,

"The operation begins. Everyone, take your positions!"

The two Jokers looked at each other with their mouths agape, but before they could say anything, they were engulfed by an infinite wave of Schillers.

Accompanied by the sound of deep horns, this giant ship sailing in the space of consciousness embarked on its voyage.

Ten minutes later, the horns suddenly sounded in the Kingdom of Dreams.

"Bam!!!!"

The elves floating in the clouds were stunned by the sight of a bed appearing before their eyes, and the Dream God Morpheus who was still lying on it, holding the blanket, and staring wide-eyed.
