Chapter 52: She was the real deal

Maximus stayed quiet.

Even when Orion extended his shifting time limit and wasn't giving the control back to him, he didn't say anything.

Why?

Because he didn't know if Delilah would let her guard down in front of him like she was doing in front of Orion since she thought he was just a normal wolf and not a werewolf who had a human side to it.

He kept gazing at her as they stood near the lake.

She looked so carefree at the moment as she was standing in front of him with her eyes closed.

"Have you ever seen a shooting star?" Delilah said in her soft voice out of the blue before looking at the wolf with a smile, who obviously couldn't understand a word she was saying.
