Chapter 92: The cold sensation

"Thank you mum." Jemina replied as she shut the door with her leg, or she thought she did.

When she turned around, she was greeted by Abe's grinning face. She knew he was making fun of how nervous she was.

"What?" she asked, faking a frown

"Nothing." Abe replied, still smiling

"Do you find it funny?" Jemina asked as she walked closer, she set the smoothie down on the dressing table right next to the tray of cookies.

"Maybe. Bring a cookie along with you, and help me with my smoothie." Abe said

"Can I ask you a question?" Jemina asked

"Go on." He collected the cookie and the cup of smoothie from Jemina's hand. He took a bite from the cookie and his eyes brightened.

"Uhhn! This is good." he said with a bright smile

"Are you not afraid?" Jemina asked rolling her eyes

"Afraid of what?" Abe asked with a puzzled face

"Afraid of being caught by mother?" Jemina asked, emphasizing on the word mother at the end.

"Are you?" Abe asked
