"Prince Lucas," Eric interjected cautiously. "There is something I want to tell you. When I spoke to Lady Carla, she mentioned His Majesty the King and Queen Arabella, and she mentioned a 'cursed child.'"

Lucas turned his head, his eyes narrowing. "Cursed child?" He repeated the words in a questioning tone, as if trying to grasp the meaning behind them.

But the answer hung in the air, unclear. Lucas' mind became increasingly clouded with confusion. Leo had sacrificed his life to save him, and the sunflowers had brought back a memory that shook him. The memory was confusing, enveloping Lucas in an unresolvable ambiguity.
