Mia played the song to the ending for Neil, and the silence on the other side of the phone almost led her to believe that he'd fallen asleep but the moment she stopped playing, his husky voice flowed out from the other side, "Thanks,"

She smiled, "You're welcome," she replied crawling back onto the bed. Then after a few moments of silence, he spoke again, "Have you eaten?"

Oops! She'd completely forgotten about dinner because she'd been busy waiting for his calls the whole day, and now that he asked, her stomach made an audible growling sound that she was certain he'd heard from the phone because of the silence that followed after his question. She smiled awkwardly when she heard him sigh heavily.
