Blu and his father continue to walk through the trails heading home. They talk about the girl some more. Then the father pauses because he sense something coming their way. He calmly put his hand on Blu shoulder, " Son, I need you to hide, and whatever happens stay put, do not come out"
" No, I want to stay with you father."
"Please we do not have time, go" the father gently push Blu to leave.
A troop of armed royal warriors approach the father and started asking him questions, then started asking questions about the girl. The father said he did not see anyone at all and he was just on his way home. They didn't believe him and started getting loud and poking him aggressively.
The father slowly gazed at his son with a look of love, then returned his gaze to the side of his horse. In one smooth motion he pulled out this great double edge axe. It's long handle was craved beautifully from wood and the two sided axe head had a family crest in the middle and wings engraved into the axe blades.
A second later the father turned into a warrior god. With a big swing he landed his first hit into a soldier then the battle began. The father so effortlessly take out each soldier. He didn't get cut once from their blades. He cut down the last soldier and regained his breath and wiped the sweat from his brow.
In the shadows was a young man covered in blood hiding close to a big tree. He had a devilish grin on his face, he drew back a bow and arrow then, he released it.
The father was about to return the axe to his horse but he heard something coming from the side of him, he threw his axe into the direction, but the arrow landed into his knee. The strong warrior didn't seem effected by the arrow, he was staring hard into the area he threw his axe. Finally someone came out from the bushes with a laugh so hard he had to hold his belly. Some of his hair from the right side was chopped off because the axe almost took his head off.
The father was calm looking at this young man covered in blood, laughing with some missing hair. He was confused, he started to run towards this stranger but in that moment he fell to one knee. He felt heavy, dizzy, weak. He looked at his leg with the arrow. Looked back up quickly.
" Poison," laughed the man. " Now tell me, have you lied to us?"
The father tried to stand up then another arrow landed into his other knee, the same kind of arrow. He was a strong man, but another dose of poison made him fall on both knees. Blu could see pain in his father's eyes, he wanted to kill this man that was hurting his father. He balled his hands into fist ready to charge at the young man. The father at that very moment looked at him and with his eyes said no stay there. Blu knew his father's looks for everything, they hunted together so they could never talk, the father made up signals and eye contact so they didn't have to make noise.
Tears of anger rolled down Blu's face. Blu stared at this young man's face, he was shocked the man had deep red hair, and amber eyes just like the little girl he saw earlier. He knew this was the person she was running from.
The man walked over to the father with laughter, " Are you feeling ok?" " All you had to do was tell me where is the princess"
Princess? Blu thought. His father was right she was someone of power, but why is this man covered in blood and going after the girl?
"Last chance, tell me in what direction did the princess go?!" The evil man yelled.
When the man got closer, the father tried to attack him but failed because the poison slowed him down alot. The man laughed in the father's face. He took the father by the hair and asked again for the girl.
"I don't know who you are talking about" then he spit in the evil man's face because his body as become numb from the poison.
As he wiped the spit off his face fire replaced his eyes and in just one moment plunged an arrow into the father's chest.
The man released the father's hair and cleaned his hand on the father's shoulder and walked away. He marched straight on the trail. Blu knew the direction the girl went so he felt a little ok that the crazy man was going the wrong way.
When it was clear, Blu ran over to his father and put pressure on his chest, but nothing would work because now there was poison in his father chest.
His father explained everything he knew about this man and family. Blu didn't care about any of that he just wanted his father.
His father last dying wish was for Blu to take the axe of honor, find the girl, and find someone the father knew, show the axe of honor to them. He told Blu follow the trail of Mystery Vines but don't be afraid because that is where we come from and the forest will except you.
Blu stays with his father till his last breath. With revenge on his mind to kill the man who took his father from him, he burys his father on the side of the trail. Walks over to the tree where his dad threw his axe and tried his hardest to pull the axe from the tree. The axe with the name Axe of Honor from his father story of it coming from his kingdom, the axe handle was made from a old family tree called the Tree of Honor. He takes his father's horse and sets out to look for the princess first then onto the trail of Mystery Vines.
