Chapter 20: The Alphas' gathering

Many times Auriana tried to force herself to sleep, but sleep never came, but the emptiness that she felt inside only knew to grow. She sat by the bed staring out the window, clutching onto the night dress that he had ripped in half. It was one of the reminders that he was indeed in her room and a witness of what transpired between them. Auriana had no intention of disposing of it.

After spending some time just holding it, she decided to keep it safe where no one else would ever see. Whenever she missed him, she could go there and take it. She also changed into a new dress before returning to the bed that stood as a witness to their deed. She smiled and climbed on it, found a pillow to hug and another place to place her head. She shut once again, and her mind drifted.
