Raven strode into his office, his thoughts occupied with the past and why he wasn't able to join the pieces. He needed to know what he was fighting in order to protect Lily properly.

Old Bat, ever-observant, looked up from her newspaper with a raised eyebrow. She had arrived at the office before him. "Something troubles you, Raven?"

Raven turned to look at the older woman, but before he could say anything, Shadow entered the office. "Yesterday, Lily was at a lab, and she found Azalea's things."

Old Bat raised her brows. "I've searched every corner of this city, but found nothing. How is that even possible?"

Raven sighed. That was the problem. How was that even possible? What exactly did Lily see yesterday? The thought worried him, and why did the foundation struggle to show it to Lily instead of him?
