Chapter 85: It's Not My Blood

Sarah's POV:

After agreeing with the principal not to fire Ms. Lida, Amber and I left the school as Jude drove the car to the company instead.

"Did Anthony ask you to bring us here?" I was confused because I didn't order him to drive us here. "Yes, ma'am."

"Mother, is this where you work?" asked Amber as we both got into the elevator.

"Is it beautiful?" I avoided lying to the kid because, in a few weeks, we will leave for good, and I don't want her asking questions like, "Why do you not work there anymore?"

"Very beautiful"

We walked to Anthony's office with everyone's gaze on us. This was confusing. Then I was about to knock on Anthony's door when I heard a familiar voice.

"Why aren't you listening to me? He called her Sarah Finn; why will he call Elma Sarah Finn?" Nel asked with a tone filled with curiosity.

This made me very anxious. What was she doing here?
