Chapter 27: She is happy with me.

I knew for a fact that she didn't want to be around these people but I had no choice. If this was to work somehow, I had to do it my way, not hers; hers is a little clumsy.

I wanted us to match so I told Karla to tell the maid that our theme is green and gold. I didn't tell Hemera. I was afraid she might disagree but I wanted to show the world how good we are together and get rid of the rumors. I got to the party first, just to make sure everything was set. I didn't want to disappoint her. 

The ballroom was already full and s wasn't here yet. Something told me to have faith, I knew she would come. I grabbed a drink by from a servant and waited.

"What a pleasant surprise to see you here, Elpis."

I turned around and it was just the one person I didn't want to see, Crane. Anything I look at him I am reminded of the pain he caused Hemera and it makes me angry.
