Rui Ye sluggishly propped himself up, wincing as he clutched his throbbing head. "What happened? Hiss— why does my body feel so sore? Where are we? Zhuyu?" He stretched out his hands and probed around blindly in search of Song Zhuyu, his expression lost and flustered.

"Calm down," Song Zhuyu let out a weary chuckle from where he was still sprawled on the ground. "How do you feel? Apart from the soreness, did you get injured anywhere?"

"N–No?" Rui Ye gingerly patted his own body to assess his own condition. "I don't think so. But why am I on the ground? Last thing I remember…" he massaged his aching temple, trying to recall what happened before he blacked out. "We… I was changing and then…"
