Song Zhuyu's breathing faltered as he searched Rui Ye's face, his gaze almost piercing a hole into the blind man in his attempt to make heads or tails of the current situation. "What did you…" he struggled to articulate his thoughts amidst the whirlwind of shock. "Could you repeat what you just said?"

"What I just said?" Rui Ye echoed, clearly puzzled. Nevertheless, he still complied and reiterated, "I said I don't know. Usually, it turns out alright in the end, so I simply trust the process for now."

"And then?" Song Zhuyu continued to press, trying to conceal the urgency and impatience in his voice. "You said something else after that."

"Huh? What more did I say?" Rui Ye appeared utterly confused, and it made Song Zhuyu confused as well.
