Chapter 186: We Actually Beat Them

We were practically forced through the doors and we found ourselves in what appeared to be a storage room of sorts.

The doors closed behind us and two of the men stood at the doors while the other two moved to flank our sides.

Two other men were also waiting inside the room and they stood by the salesman's sides, looking like some kind of bodyguard.

All of them were looking at us with quite an unfriendly gaze and if I didn't know that it was a trap earlier, I certainly knew that it was now.

But well… I decided to just play dumb for now to see how things went, "So, where's the slaves?"

The salesman gave me a pointed look, "Wait… Are you being serious right now?"

I gave him a confused look, "Wasn't this why you brought us here? Why else would you bring us here then?"

He shared a look with the guards before all of them started to laugh.

"Ahahaha! Oh wow! We got ourselves a really bright one, lads!"
