My eyes fluttered open and the bright light hit my eyes, I quickly closed them and faced away from the light before opening them again, unlike the magic test, the system infusion starts at 12, and all boys and girls that are 18 are present so the hall would be filled up.
Going early or late doesn't matter as long as you are present, I yawned and stretched my body before standing up and at the same moment my door opened slightly.
Before I could take a look the door was closed, my mother must have sent someone to check on me.
I quickly stood up from the bed and walked towards the door, even before I could open the door I heard footsteps coming towards my room.
I opened the door and saw my mother with a smile on her face.
"Happy birthday" she shouted as she gave me a sword, I'm sure it's the sword she spoke about yesterday.
Three maids were behind her and all of them held gifts too, I'm sure it would be more clothes and other materials I already had in excess but I collected them with a smile.
After I brushed my teeth and bath, we had breakfast, me and my mum, my dad wasn't around it seemed he had gone away, and from the looks of it he was going to spend some time.
Right now I am in a carriage heading towards where the system ceremony is taking place, I was going together with Anna, she has already gotten her system but my mum insisted on her coming with me, and she also wanted to come with me.
We moved deeper into the city till we got to a large building, though not bigger than the mage academy, and I could see other girls my age flocking inside, I also saw few boys, it seemed the gates were open not long ago.
The system ceremony takes place twice a year, half of the year which is the sixth month, and the end of the year which is the last month, and as the gods may have it my birthday corresponded with the exact day the ceremony takes place.
I didn't want to join the crowd so I waited inside the carriage, the system ceremony and the system itself has many rules and one of those rules is you can never talk to another person about your system, speaking about it is a crime and once you break it, the officials instantly know.
No one knows how but they do, this was put in place so no one figures out how the system works, the people entering the hall had reduced a great deal so I quickly climbed down from my carriage.
"Don't follow me in, you can stay out here" I said to Anna.
"But your mum said..."
"You can't follow me in no matter what my mum said, if I take too long then go home, don't wait for me," I said as I walked towards the door.
Before I walked in my eyes caught something, another carriage that was heavily decorated, even the horses were decorated, it seemed like the ones the royal families uses.
"Wait, isn't that the princess"
Instead of going in I stood at the door as a beautiful girl stepped outside the carriage, and it was the princess, all the princesses had green hair and hers was no different, she was the firstborn princess and heir to the throne.
I thought she was younger, if she's here that means she is older than me but only with few months, she had maids all around her and everyone in the city knew who she was, I quickly walked inside before she could reach where I was because I was in no mood to bow down to a girl.
"Woah..." I mumbled as I walked in.
The inside of the hall was a lot bigger than the outside, it seemed magic was being used, a huge chandelier was suspended in the ceiling and provided light to the entire hall.
Thousands of chairs were arranged and most of them were filled up with people, commoners from small towns, cities, and villages under Avalon also had to come to the city for the system ceremony.
Lots of nobles were also present, I quickly grabbed a seat in the last row, even though there were empty seats I wasn't going to go to the front, the last row was empty and seemed like a perfect fit.
From where I was I could only see four males among the huge crowd, but I'm sure they'll be more, and those four males were surrounded by females fawning over them, also another reason I'm staying at the back.
Lots of noise filled the halls as people mumbled amongst themselves, I closed my eyes and relaxed my back.
"You want to sit here my lady?" A voice spoke beside me.
"Yes, I don't like the idea of going to the front that's why I stayed in the carriage, I'm sure everyone here knows who I am so there's be lots of eyes on me" a girl spoke.
"There's a boy here, wow he's really handsome"
"I think he's sleeping, you have nothing to worry about my lady"
"I'm not sleeping if it's me you are talking about," I said with my eyes still closed, I'm sure it's one of the arrogant nobles.
"You can leave now, I'm okay" the voice spoke.
"Really, we should wait till the..."
"There's no need, you can't follow me in anyway so stay with the carriage, bye"
It seems she was sending away her maids, she should have done so at the gate, I eventually opened my eyes to see who was beside me, and to my surprise, it was the princess and she turned towards me.
"Hi," I said not wanting to sound rude because there's no way I'll bow down to her.
"Hello, you look really familiar and handsome" she spoke.
In this world, there were only two types of girls, the straightforward ones and the shy ones, it seems the princess is among the straightforward ones.
