Mr Davis swallowed hard when Kimberly was done, his eyes twitching in humiliation, "You can't do this. You just can't terminate our contract," Mr. Davis said in a calm voice, seeing that the odds were against him.

"I wouldn't have escalated things this way had you simply honored my invitation," Kimberly said, and he nodded.

"I guess you are right. I'm sorry about that. What can be done now? I just can't let you terminate the contract just like that," Mr. Davis replied, almost pleadingly, since he knew that he had a lot to lose if Melvin's company went ahead to terminate the contract.
