Chapter 41: Saints and Angels

Taking Vanessa to Abernathy's was a horrible idea, and not only because of the disaster that happened afterward. Now she's sitting in the passenger seat wearing this, and I have to pretend to not be affected by it. Not being affected by anything Vanessa does is apparently not something I'm capable of, so this is going to be a long ass drive.

"I didn't want to go through every bag," Vanessa glances down at the black lace and sheer shirt and short skirt. 

Her bare thighs are pressed against the seat, and I can't help but imagine them pressed against my shoulders instead. She's a victim of the Bratva. She's our prisoner. I can't be thinking about her this way.
